Re: When I hear untruths about other people....la_rossignolOctober 2 2009, 15:20:14 UTC
Actually... If you've ever been part of a "puppy pile" then you know the derogatory implications of that saying are misleading. For one thing, dogs are completely honest about how they feel...about you, about their feelings, about everything. You always know where you stand with dogs. ...Lying there, cuddled up with fiercely loyal, openly affectionate friends who don't give a rat's ass about politics or appearances can be amazing.
You just don't get that kind of love and acceptance from interacting with most humans. And dogs do it all without uttering a word. :D
Wow, that's stupid on a whole new scale. If there were *anyone* I were going to lie about, it sure wouldn't be either of you because you WILL hear about it and there WILL be a brisk response. However, one of J's favorite sayings is, "Stupidity *should* be painful!" Just think of yourself as putting Darwin's principles to work in a focused way. :-)

Oh yes, you folks are the ultimate witness to Darwin in action. The frustration comes when the pain doesn't attend upon the stupidity like it should...then the temptation is there to help it along a little bit!

Why, just the other day, I heard someone say you weren't "fit to lie down with dogs."
I, of course, defended you.
I said you were.
