So, I just finished off Ancient Rome (and I use that term loosely) this past week in the GED Social Studies class. With only two days of class this week, I figured a video would be in order. 1) Were your teachers tenured? That can go a long way towards being able to do whatever the hell you want.

2) The Godfather is tame by today's standards.

3) A Clockwork Orange can be read in classes.

4) I have shown R-rated stuff, largely due to it being in the library (Saving Private Ryan, the opening scene)...if anyone complained I had THAT as a quick reply.

5) Some schools are more progressive than others.

I actually have an educational video on Rome that I used when teaching Roman culture to my students back when I was mandated to teach bits of other languages each quarter. Had I known last week, I could have gotten that to you.

Another thing you can do is find something on You Tube, download it into a file, burn it, and show it.
