There was a front page story in yesterday's Philly Inquirer about the big flap over the promo-intro to the Monday Night Football game between the Eagles and Cowboys. For those of you that missed it, it was an edgy skit involving Nicolette Sheridan and Terrell Owens. It culminated in a naked Ms. Sheridan leaping into the awaiting arms of T O.

They are pulling that "cute" Viagra commercial that depicts a man "coming back" to his "devilish old self" after taking Viagra.

I think people are just jealous of what they cannot have or do, so they try to get rid of it so they don't have to see what they're not getting~

Maybe that is the answer.

I've been wondering for a while now just WHY folks were so offended. I mean, the show they were advertising, "Desprite Housewives" is extremely popular and contains many similar scenes...soap operas so as much, if not more every day...and TV in general is pretty "sexy". So, why were folks so upset? Do football fans just not like nake women? First Janet Jackson and now this. It's very strange.

LOL... I didn't even notice the spelling. You're right Staci, I'd imagine what goes on in that show, plus the normal "daytime dramas" is probably a lot more explicit than this little skit. Obviously it's not that the average football fan is offended by naked, or nearly naked women, otherwise all the cheeky cheerleaders would be wearing baggy jeans and flannel shirts. No, I think the real problem most folks had was that is was a sexy blond leaping into the arms of a black man. Of course they'd never come right out and say that, but in My humble opinion, that's what this is really all about. Sad, but true.
