My Uncle Tony is currently dying of pancreatic cancer. I learned today that he's no longer coherent. It's probably either the morphine or the fact that he's rapidly fading. I had really meant to send an e-mail to him, but kept either forgetting or putting it off. Now I'm paying for it dearly. I hope that he knows that I'm eternally sorry for it,

I understand the feeling completely. Something similar happened when my uncle died this past February. Don't worry - he knows you love him with all your heart, with or without the letter.
