For the first part about politics - you're entitled to your own opinion, but I frankly think that neither party is better than the other. They're both shit, and such a controlling majority of either party in any branch is a horrible thing. For our system of government to work how it should, everyone needs to be equally represented - and for that to happen, we need all branches to as evenly divided as possible along party lines.
For the second part - THUNDEROUS APPLAUSE!!! While I see nothing wrong with a friendly inquiry to one or two people, like, "Hey, how'd you do?" the people who incessantly hound everyone around them to compare their standing and see who they're smarter than should take a very long walk off of a very short - but tall - cliff, and then calculate their initial and final velocities as they fall onto jagged rocks.

Bravo, sir, bravo.
