Chapter 9:
Jun covered his ears with his pillow as his alarm clock started pissing the hell out of him. What kind of idiot is he to set the alarm so early in the morning?
“Good morning, Jun,” he heard a voice, no doubt it belongs to Sho, “actually, I should be saying good afternoon,”
“Afternoon?”
Jun sat up. Due to the massive pain in his head, he was in a bad mood. A horribly bad mood.
“Yup,” smiled Sho, “you were really interesting last night,”
“Huh?”
Sho coolly walked over to Jun, grabbing an apple from the table and tossing it at the latter, “9 glasses of tequila, you finally managed to break your record!”
Jun groaned and rubbed his forehead. So that’s the reason for this splitting headache. Jun winced once more as Sho drew the curtains, allowing the intense sunlight to pour into his room.
“You don’t want to be late, don’t you?”
“Late for what?”
Sho smiled and sat himself down on the table across Jun, “last night, when I brought you back here, you said you had a really important date today at 1,”
Sho laughed to himself as he saw Jun tensed after glancing at the clock: 5 minutes to 1.
Pulling off his soaked shirt while jumping off the bed, Jun dashed to his cupboard and randomly threw on some clothes, before darting out of his room.
Picking up Jun’s discarded apple, Sho took a big bite out of it and pulled out his phone to send a text message.
He’s on his way.

Having walked round in circles, Nino felt dizzy as he waited for over an hour for Jun to show up. But Nino decided to blame himself for coming nearly forty-five minutes early, believing that Jun would actually turn up, and for being such a total idiot.
After having consulted with Sho about the matter, Nino still didn’t think what he is doing was the right choice, “Do what you feel is right,” advised Sho on the phone the night before.
“Easy for you to say,” muttered Nino under his breath as he gripped his phone, desperately waiting for Sho’s message.
Sighing for the umpteenth time, Nino leaned his head against a pillar and tried to weigh his options: he could wait like an idiot for Jun, try to get to Togami through him and bring justice to his parents or he could walk off and completely ignore the matter.
Looking up into the sky, Nino choose the second option: the clouds were starting to turn grey and he didn’t have an umbrella. Heaving a rather large sigh, Nino turned and walked off in the opposite direction while throwing his phone into his bag, missing the notice of a new message and a certain man running towards the clock tower.

Closing the main door after the last customer left, Nino looked up at the sky. It had been raining cats and dogs and he was still wondering if Jun actually showed up. Glancing at the wall clock, Nino assumed his didn’t as it was already four! Three hours after the ‘arranged’ meeting time.
Nino walked to the kitchen where he nearly had a heart attack when a Styrofoam box was pushed to him.
“Nino!” shouted George almost too gleefully,
“Is this going to end badly?” asked Nino.
Not answering his question, George shoved an umbrella into his arms and said, “I have a friend who really loves your Hayashi Rice, and he was hoping it could be delivered to him,”
Nino sighed, it was supposed to be his break time, “Where is he?”
George grinned and cheerfully pushed Nino out of the restaurant, “His works at the café at Ebisu Garden Place,”
“So coincidental?!?!” Nino wanted to shout.

Who knew Nino would find himself at the place the dreaded going to? After handing over the box to George’s friend, Nino subconsciously pulled out his phone, only to see….
“EH? He actually went?” yelled Nino, attracting a lot of unwanted attention. Opening his umbrella, Nino dashed towards the Clock Tower Square, hoping Jun didn’t wait for him in this kind of weather.
Almost dropping his umbrella in surprise, Nino stood a few meters away from the clock tower, mouth hanging open. That idiot was really idiotic enough to wait in the rain.
Feeling bad, Nino carefully walked up to the half conscious man, “Er….”
“Ninomiya!” yelled Jun, running up towards him.
Fearing a punch from the obviously pissed Jun, Nino turned away, only to find the taller man’s hands firmly around his waist.
“It’s cold…”
Time seem to stop as they stood there, both not knowing what to do next. Deciding that they were in a public place, and not wanting to give anyone any ideas, Nino decided to end the awkwardness by pulling Jun off him, “What’s the big idea? Hugging me so suddenly,”
“Ah, I’m glad you’re safe,” replied Jun, not really answering the question.
“Huh?”
“I was worried… that you were in an accident!”
“Er… no,”
“So tell me why you’re late, if you don’t have a good reason, I’ll kill you!” threatened Jun.
Nino was pissed, he didn’t take the extra mile to check up on Jun, only to find himself being yelled at, “Who accepted your offer?”
“You came didn’t you?”
“Eh?”
“Actually, you’re here to see me!”
The soft pitter patter of the rain hitting the ground filled the void in their conversation, as Nino rummage through his brains, trying to find a reply.
“Perhaps, you’re in love with me!”
Feeling that his dignity had been insulted, Nino left the scene in a hurry, only to be stopped by the sound of Jun sneezing. Clamping his hands around his umbrella handle until his knuckles turned white, Nino told that angel in his head he was going to get it from him soon.
“I guess I can at least treat you to some hot tea,” said Nino, sheltering Jun from the cold rain.
“Of course you should, stupid!”
“What the?”
“Well, let’s go then,” said Jun standing up and walking away. Flustered, Nino got out his wallet and look through its contents, “me and my big mouth,”
