Chapter 11:

“Jun-sama!”

Jun woke up with a start as he heard a familiar voice call his name. He pushed the weight off him and sat up, ignoring the ‘ouch’.

“Nishida? What took you so long!?”

Jun lowered his head as he stormed out of the building towards his waiting limo, not wanting anyone to see his reddening face, seated himself by the window and starting taking great interest in the scenery outside.

The trees flew by quickly, indicating that they were a reasonable distance from the place where they started, which also mean that they have left that idiot Ninomiya miles behind.

Jun was about to ask his chauffer to stop at some random restaurant for breakfast when he had the shock of his life.

“WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE?”

Jun swore his heart nearly stopped when he saw Nino sitting on the seat opposite him, staring at him blankly.

“It’s not my fault your men dragged me and threw me in here!” protested Nino, folding his arms, “besides, I have better things to do,”

Jun wanted to bang his head against the window.

“So, my chauffer will be picking us up at 7,” confirmed Sho, as he and Ohno walked down a corridor in Sho’s mansion.

“Sho-chan,” began Ohno, “I don’t need a ‘welcome back’ party. I could be using that time to paint,”

“I insist! Besides, it’s a good way to catch up with everybody,”

Ohno sighed in defeat.

He had spent nearly a year in France, doing what he wanted most - painting, he had never regretted leaving everything behind, or even turning down his father’s request of him taking over the family business.

“Let’s go visit Jun,” suggested Sho as he lead Ohno towards the lobby.

Nino was trying to recall how he ended up here in the first place. It definitely wasn’t by choice, that’s for sure.

Jun’s butler, Nishida, was it? had insisted that Nino follow them back to the Matsumoto mansion, as an apology for having ‘taken care’ of his precious master. Nino shuddered at that thought. Having to enter Jun’s house should be considered torture.

Nino knew Jun was filthy rich, but he didn’t knew he was this rich! His mansion alone was a big as Harajuku (maybe it is an exaggeration, but you get the point) and the distance from the gate to the front door was at least a hundred and fifty meters. Nino was dizzy from thinking how big the entire land is.

He was ushered to a room and given some clothes for him to change out of from his somewhat damp ones. Jun’s clothes to be more exact, since the Matsumoto family didn’t stock spare clothes for situations like this.

Nino didn’t have a chance to take in his surroundings as he was quickly dragged towards somewhere once he stepped out of the changing room.

“This is Jun-sama’s room,” informed Nishida, gesturing at a door, “it is rare for Jun-sama to have friends over, apart from Sho-sama,”

It took Nino a long time to absorb what he just heard, which gave Nishida enough time to slip away.

“I was kidnapped here! Kidnapped by you, in fact!” yelled Nino to an empty corridor, “and I’m not Matsumoto-san’s friend!”

Not getting a response, Nino decided to ask Jun if he could help him out from his maze of a house.

When he first entered Jun’s room, he was paralysed with a mixture of awe and shock as he saw the size of the room.

“Definitely Olympic swimming pool sized,” muttered Nino walking around aimlessly.

His attention was drawn to a picture frame on the wall. It was a jig saw of a night sky lit up by thousands of shooting stars. Nino walked towards the picture, as if drawn by an invisible force. Once closer, he notice there were a few pieces missing, it kinda reminds him of…..

“WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING IN MY ROOM?!”

Stunned, Nino turned and found himself face to face none other than Matsumoto Jun.

“AND WHY ARE YOU WEARING MY CLOTHES?!”

“I...I have no idea,” admitted Nino, blushing slightly when Jun reminded him that Nino was in his clothes.

Jun growled loudly as he decided to ignore Nino. Instead, he proceed to slumping himself on his bed, his back sore from sleeping on the hard elevator floor.

“Nice room by the way,” said Nino trying to break the awkwardness, “I especially like that jig saw of…”

“What?”

Nino ignored Jun as he recalled a thought that had occurred to him a while ago. While digging through his pockets, Nino examined the jig saw carefully, locating the empty spots. Once he found the pieces he was looking for, he studied each one of them, before pushing them into their respective places. The whole time, he was oblivious of a pair of eyes watching him intensely.

“There, now it’s complete,” smiled Nino, taking a step back to admire his masterpiece.

Jun, dumbfounded, hurried over to where Nino was and starred at the said picture on his wall.

“Where did you find those?” breathed Jun, not believing that his jig saw he thought was ruined could actually be fixed.

“Well, I was looking for my dad’s recipe book, and I found it in this coat, and the jig saw pieces fell out with it, and I was in a rush so I just shoved everything into my pocket,” explained Nino, words coming out like a bullet train.

Jun stared at Nino for a whole minute before asking, “Is that coat you mentioned maroon in colour?”

Nino nodded.

“SO IT WAS YOUR FAULT I NEARLY FROZE TO DEATH THAT NIGHT!”

“You were the one who offered me your coat!”

“What’s going on?”

“Bwuh?”

Nino and Jun turned to see Sho at the door with another man beside him.

Nino thanked his lucky stars for sending Sho to save him. He hurriedly excused himself and exited the room. Not caring if he didn’t know the way out, or the fact he crashed into Sho’s friend on the way out.

“Nino, wait!”

Nino froze. He recognised that voice as Sho’s, which is probably why he complied.

“We’re throwing a ‘welcome’ back party for Ohno here, you should come,”

He was handed an invitation, along with Sho’s killer smile, “Togami-tei is catering,”

“Yeah, you should come,” said Jun. Jun was reasoning with his brain that it wasn’t his fault that that old hag made him invite random people to boring parties which caused him to say his previous sentence due to habit, when Nino fled from the scene.

“What was Nino doing in your room?” asked Sho helping himself to an apple in the fruit bowl.

“Being stupid,” replied Jun sarcastically as he collapsed onto his bed.

After all these times, it was him?
