Chapter 15:

Sho stood nervously outside Ohno’s room.

Straightening his shirt for the nth time, he held a bouquet in his right hand, and proceeded to knock on the door with his left. Today, Sho had finally mustered his courage to ask Ohno out. He was prepared for the outcome, whatever it may be.

“Come in!”

He took a deep breathe and turned the door knob, “Satoshi?”

“Sho-chan!” beamed Ohno, placing the box in his hands on the floor, before running over to Sho, “What brings you here?”

“Before that, can I ask what you’re doing?”

“I’m officially migrating to France,” said Ohno, while turning to pick up his box, causing him to miss the look of disappointment on Sho’s face, “What’s with the bouquet?”

“The bouquet?” asked Sho, looking down at his hands. Of course, even someone as spaced as Ohno wouldn’t miss a bouquet of twenty roses, “It’s a…. it’s a farewell present,” explained Sho, patting himself on the back for being able to come up with an excuse.

“Thanks, Sho-chan,” grinned Ohno, giving Sho a light kiss on his cheek as he received the bouquet.

“You’re welcome,” he stuttered, “I’ll be going now,”

Walking off, Sho felt Ohno’s kiss wasn’t good enough a compensation for shattering his heart.

“Curry rice, and make it snappy,” barked a customer at the counter.

George trembled slightly while nodding a confirmation. He then ran to seek shelter in the kitchen.

“Nino, there’s this really creepy guy, outside who wants Curry rice,”

“What creepy guy?”

“A creepy guy with curly hair who seems to be in a foul mood,”

Nino’s face fell as the thought of Jun ran through his mind. He really wanted to bang his head against the wall for thinking about Jun again. Nino had resolved to never ever see, hear or think about Jun again.

Apparently, his resolve was broken the day it was made.

“You!”

“What do you mean me?”

“And to think you still have the guts to come here!”

“I work here!”

“Why do you have to appear everywhere I go?”

“You do know I work here,”

“And to think you still have the guts to work here after you kissed me yesterday,”

“What has working here got to do with kissing you?”

“So you admit you wanted to kiss me,”

“You were the one on top!”

“You were the one who grabbed me!”

George felt the urge to cover his face with a paper bag as he ushered the few customers out of the shop.

Ohno sat at the departure area as he sighed for the umpteenth time. He knew he was leaving for good, and he wanted to leave, so why was he feeling so bad?

“Satoshi?”

Ohno looked up in surprise.

“Sho-chan?”

The former leapt up from his seat and dashed over, giving the latter a big hug.

“Sho-chan, What are you doing here?” asked Ohno, “What’s with your luggage?”

“I’m going with you to France,”

“-_- seriously, Sho-chan, you don’t have to,”

“but I want to,”

Ohno let go of Sho and excused himself, saying he needed to go to the toilets. Instead, he headed to a blind corner and dialled a number.

“What do you mean Sho is going to France?!”

Ohno jumped back in shock as he held his phone an arms length away from him.

“Do you think you could persuade Sho?” asked Ohno, his phone back beside his face once he was sure Jun was done yelling.

“Of course! I am the Matsumoto Jun!”

Ohno leapt back while giving a rather loud yelp. Bowing apologetically to the others around him, Ohno made his way back to Sho.

Nino silently admitted to himself his liked Sho. No, he only somewhat liked Sho. In fact, he only slightly liked Sho. So why was he so desperate?

“Stop staring at me like that!” barked Jun crossing his legs and leaning further back into the seat of his limo, “Count yourself lucky I was kind enough to give you a ride,”

Nino had no idea how to react to his statement, so he settled for keeping quiet instead. He and Jun were arguing in George’s restaurant when Ohno called Jun. According to Jun’s side of the conversation, Nino gathered that Sho was leaving for France.

Why?

“Ohno’s migrating to France,” said Jun, who appeared to have read his thoughts.

“Oh,”

“You like Sho, don’t you?”

“No,”

“Admit it! You kissed me so Sho would get jealous!”

“No I didn’t! It was an accident! Who knows, maybe you wanted to kiss me, but were too chicken, so you pushed the blame to me, but in actual fact, you were the one who wanted to kiss me!”

“Why are we back on this topic?!”

“You started it!”

“Matsumoto-san, Ninomiya-san, we’re here,”

Jun glared at Nino before exiting his limo. Once out, he broke into a full dash towards the departure gates. He heard Nino’s footsteps behind him, and decided to increase his speed in an attempt to ditch Nino for his personal enjoyment.

“The future heir to the Matsumoto cooperation should not be so childish!” chided his brain, which caused Jun to slow down to a reasonable speed, and also allowing Nino to catch up.

Before Nino could snap at Jun for leaving him behind, both of them saw Ohno and Sho. Temporally discarding that thought, Nino followed Jun to where the two were.

“Jun, Nino,” breathed Sho as he saw the two madly running towards him and Ohno.

“What the hell do you think you’re doing?” barked Jun, grabbing Sho by his shoulders and shaking him violently.

Not wanting to one of his best friends to get killed, Ohno dragged Jun away from Sho to the same corner where he had called him.

“Can you stop Sho from making the biggest mistake of his life?” pleaded Ohno, giving Jun his best puppy dog look.

“No problem,” replied Jun, “I don’t want my buddy to do something stupid like this,”

“Thanks, Jun,” smiled Ohno, giving him a friendly hug, “What are you doing with Nino-kun anyway?”

“EH?” yelled Jun, pulling away instantly and turning to hide his blushing cheeks.

“A piece of advice, Jun, patience is a virtue; therefore, you can’t buy a person’s love with money. You must love, in order to be loved, got it?” said Ohno, winking sugesstively at him.

Before Jun could answer, Ohno walked off, hands in his pocket while grinning sleepily.

He picked up his luggage and gave Nino a cheery wave, before disappearing behind the customs. Following Ohno, Sho also picked up his bag, only to be stopped by a pair of very strong hands.

“Sho!”

“Jun, about the party…”

“Who cares about that!” yelled Jun, turning Sho around to face him, “I promised Ohno to stop you from making the biggest mistake ever…”

“huh?”

“…which is not chasing after him,”

Sho felt Jun’s grip on him loosen.

“In France, if anybody gives you shit, let me know right away. I’ll fly there and beat the shit outta him. Okay?”

Sho picked up his bag once again, “Thank you, Jun,”

Sho walked over to Nino, who was watching the whole scene from a corner, and bent down to his height, “Sorry for not being able to help with the rest of the mission. Good luck, and say bye to Aiba for me,”

With that, Sho followed Ohno.
