Title: Ryusei yori Dango (Boys over shooting stars) Season 2
Author: Masuhisa
Pairing: Matsumiya, Ohmiya, Sakuraiba, one-sided Junma, slight one-sided Sakumiya
Summary: In the 1st season, we left of at Jun leaving for New York. Nino was offered a job as a chef for a renowned family in New York. So when the two meet after a year, what Matsumiya-ish stuff would happen?
Disclaimer: If I was older than Kitagawa, I would have gotten to them first!
Note: I don’t like writing OCs, so the other characters will just be Johnnys.
Chapter 7:
Nino was glad when he looked at his calendar and saw that his contract with Ohno was up. Ohno had offered to sign another one, but Nino insisted that George-san needed him, but seriously, he just wanted to get away from everything. So that’s how Nino found himself in Sho’s luxurious private jet, headed towards home.
“Thanks for accompanying me back,” said Nino, finding something to talk about, as the awkward silence was killing him.
“No problem,” said Sho in return, looking up for a split second to look at Nino, before diverting his attention back to his laptop. The moment his jet left the ground, Sho was typing furiously on his laptop. From Nino’s angle, he could only see that it Sho was emailing someone. But who that somebody is, only Sho knows. He had been at it for 4 hours straight, not pausing to eat or use the bathroom.
Something is definitely up with Sho.
Feeling extremely curious, Nino decided to peek at what Sho was doing. Millimeter by millimeter, Nino inched towards Sho, attempting to peer over Sho’s broad shoulders, to get a better look at the computer screen.
Nino’s eyes widened in surprised as he saw an email sent to Sho by some unknown person, he thought, “Aiba is back in Japan?”

The moment the jet plane depressurized, Sho zoomed straight out of the door, leaving Nino to stare at the trail of smoke he left behind.
“Aiba-chan…aiba-chan,” chanted Sho, as though Aiba’s name is able to make his limousine go faster. Although Sho felt bad for ditching Nino like that, he reasoned with himself that he had better things to do.
“Is it okay if you hurry up?” asked Sho anxiously to his chauffer.
‘I’m sorry, but there’s a jam’ was the reply.
Sho collapsed into his seat, sighing as he did so. Maybe the traffic jam was actually helping him, giving him time to think of what to say to Aiba. Thanks to all the commotion, Sho, despite being the calm and collected one, was panicking like crazy.
“Sakurai-sama, we’re here,” announced his chauffer.
And Sho was about to thank traffic jams.
Nodding his thanks to the man in the driver seat, Sho got out in the blink of an eye and was speeding towards a particular pet shop which he visited so many times the year before.
His heart was thumping. His palms were sweaty. The word ‘nervous’ was written all over his face. But it’s not like Sho can back out now.
Placing his right hand on the handle of the door, Sho looked down at his shoes, not ready to face whoever was behind those doors, but subconsciously, he pushed it open slightly, allowing the sounds of cheerful barking and joyous chirping to drift into his ears.
But what Sho wasn’t expecting was the sound of laughter. The laughter of two people could be heard, one distinctly Aiba’s, but who was the other man?
Sho looked up, prepared for whatever he was going to see. Through the clear glass in the door, Sho saw Aiba and another man laughing like there was no tomorrow, while playfully whacking each other on the head, oblivious of the world around them.
“Maybe it’s time to move on…”

Nino fumbled with his keys, inserting the right one into the keyhole, before turning it. His, or rather Oikawa’s, house was the same as the day he left it, if not messier. Thanking his lucky stars as Oikawa was not at home, Nino dragged his luggage to his room. Only to be unsuspectingly pounced on.
“Nino~” said Oikawa, his speech slurred, “where’s that super rich boyfriend of yours?”
Nino felt his heart freeze as he tried deceiving himself into thinking he and Jun were never together in the first place.
“Matsumoto-san isn’t my boyfriend,” stated Nino, trying to get into his room, before any more questions were thrown his way, but he was blocked by an annoying Oikawa.
“What about that other rich dude?” smirked Oikawa.
This time, Nino flushed bright red as memories of that incident flooded his mind, “he’s already taken,”
If Nino wasn’t too busy trying to get Oikawa out of his way, he would have noticed how the grin on Oikawa’s face fell.
Without another word, Oikawa walked in a not so straight line towards the door, hitting himself against the wall beside it as he tried to get out. Nino sighed and concluded that Oikawa had gone out for a round a drinks. At least he can be all alone to drown in a puddle of misery.
Before Nino could even touch the doorknob of his bedroom door, some one was pounding furiously on the door. Nino sighed and went over to open the door for that drunken so-called guardian of his who probably didn’t have enough money to buy a bottle of beer and was going to extort some cash from him one way or another.
When Nino opened the door, he desperately wished that what he predicted was true.
Standing just inched in front of him was a big-sized man, a foot and a half taller than Nino and more than twice his size. All over his arms were tattoos, crisscrossing over each other to form an endless labyrinth. His hair was dyed golden brown and spiked. He was so gigantic and bloodcurdling that Nino did not notice his accomplices standing behind him, forming a row which leads all the way to the other end of the corridor.
“Can…can I help you?” stuttered Nino as the thug-looking guy took a step forward, casting Nino into his shadow.
“Tell Oikawa I want to see him now!” he thundered, grabbing the trembling Nino by his collar, “or else…”
Nino tried to reply but all that came out of him was a small gasp. The hundreds of minions behind him snickered at Nino’s plight.
“…he’s out…” stuttered Nino, his fear drowned by anger as he was laughed at.
“Out?” mocked the thug, “more like ran away like a little chicken,”
His followers hooted at his statement.
“I’m guessing you’re Ninomiya,” he said, glancing down at Nino like a hawk targeting it’s prey. Before Nino could reply, a piece of paper was shoved into his face.
“Oikawa owes me money, and I want it back. Since I can’t find him, I’ll just have to get it from you,”
With that said, he led his gang away, but not before turning to Nino and pointed his finger at him, “you have a week,”
It was only when none of them were in sight when Nino regained his voice. He then looked down at the paper in his hands as he read through the content.
“1 million yen?” cried Nino in horror, realizing how much shit he was in. But the worst part was, under the line labeled guarantor, was Nino’s name, written in Oikawa’s handwriting.
