Title: Ryusei yori Dango (Boys over shooting stars) Season 2
Author: Masuhisa
Pairing: Matsumiya, Ohmiya, Sakuraiba, one-sided Junma, slight one-sided Sakumiya
Summary: In the 1st season, we left of at Jun leaving for New York. Nino was offered a job as a chef for a renowned family in New York. So when the two meet after a year, what Matsumiya-ish stuff would happen?
Disclaimer: If I was older than Kitagawa, I would have gotten to them first!
Note: I don’t like writing OCs, so the other characters will just be Johnnys.
Chapter 10:
Beads of perspiration dripped down his forehead, barely reaching his eyes, when his hand wiped it away. Adrenaline flowed through his body as Jun made his way to Nino’s apartment.
‘Made his way’ is an understatement, as Jun was running at lightning speed. Surprisingly, he didn’t even feel tried, probably because of his strong determination to see Nino after god knows how long.
A good fifteen minutes later, Jun found himself just at the top of the flight of staircase that led to Nino’s unit. I should mention that on his way, Jun had planned everything out, predicting the best case scenario, which was him and Nino making up then making out, and the worst case scenario, which was Nino slapping him in the face.
Jun’s worst case scenario wasn’t the worst.
The walls of Nino’s unit were splattered with blood red paint, saying ‘Oikawa owes me money’ and the door was off its hinges. Through the door frame, Jun could see wooden debris all over the place, torn clothes littered the paint-stained floors and pieces of broken glass scattered all around. But what made the whole place more pathetic than it already was, was Nino sitting in the middle of the whole mess. His head leaning on his bent legs and his arms wrapped tightly around his legs to form a pitiful ball. Purple bruises could be seen on Nino’s skinny arm through his ripped sleeves and streaks of tears were running down Nino’s ghostly white face.
At that sight, how could Jun not rush up and take Nino into his protective arms? Of course Jun couldn’t.
Jun’s right leg was about to take a step forward, when he saw Nino pull out his hand phone from his torn jeans.
“Nino’s going to call me to save him,” thought Jun, half feeling excited, half feeling like a total moron for feeling excited at Nino’s plight. Jun saw Nino press a few buttons, before placing the device next to his face.
Gripping his phone tighter than usual, Jun anxiously waited for his phone to ring.
Nothing.

Meanwhile….
“Sho-chan….” Mumbled Aiba as he pulled his lips away from Sho’s, “isn’t that your phone ringing?”
Sho pouted and closed the gap between him and Aiba, “it can’t be more important than this,”

Jun felt a tinge of disappointment as he saw Nino pull his phone away from his ear, apparently not getting a response from whoever he called.
Deciding to give Nino another chance, he waited and saw Nino press a few more buttons before replacing it by his ear.
“Any second now,” muttered Jun.
Still nothing came.

Ohno struggled with the swaying fishing rod of his, desperately trying to keep it steady so he could reel his catch in. As he fought with his fishing rod, the whole boat started rocking, making the vibration of Ohno’s phone unnoticeable.

Jun’s heart really shattered as Nino withdrew his phone for the second time, disappointment written on his face. It looks like Nino hadn’t considered calling him for help.
With a sulk firmly attached to his face, Jun turned around and walked off, missing Nino pressing a third set of buttons.
His hands were buried deeply in his pockets as Jun made his way into a taxi, the sulk still on his face.
Why?
Why didn’t Nino call him instead of those two people who didn’t even answer his call? Did Nino really think he hated him?
Jun rested his head against the head rest and let out a huge sigh. There was only one thing left for him to do.
Make Nino his again.
Jun’s energy level rose dramatically as he whipped out his phone and dialed a familiar number.

“…Sho-chan…your phone… is ringing …again,”
“…I’m pretty sure ….whoever’s calling me ….can wait….”

Jun’s frown deepened as his supposedly best friend refused to pick up his call. Making a mental note to yell at Sho for not answering, Jun dialed another number.

“Stay still!” commanded Ohno to his fishing rod, struggling with the inanimate object. If you didn’t see the fishing rod, it would have looked as if Ohno was attempting to break dance on a boat. Ohno continued to fight with his rod, making the boat sway as usual, causing his ringing phone to slip off the wooden seat it was placed on and slide under Ohno’s bag, going unnoticed for the second time.

“What could the both of them be doing!” snarled Jun at his phone in a way which made the taxi driver shiver in fright.
Jun took a deep breath and bit his lip. His next move could be considered humiliating, but it’s not like Jun had any other options.
Jun dialed a third set of number and placed it at the side of his face, hoping the person on the other end would not pick up like the first two.
But he did.
“Jun? What’s up?”
“Onii-chan…I need your help,”

At the other end of the world, Tsukasa grinned to himself as he placed his phone on the table after having a conversation with his brother for the first time in months.
It was a slow day for Tsukasa, and he was saved from dying of boredom by two people asking him for help concerning the other. One was his brother, and the other was the sweet little boy whose parents were murdered because of him. How could Tsukasa not help?
“Prepare a flight back for me,” said Tsukasa to his butler.
