Author: Masuhisa
Pairing: Matsumiya, Ohmiya, Sakuraiba, one-sided Junma, slight one-sided Sakumiya
Summary: In the 1st season, we left of at Jun leaving for New York. Nino was offered a job as a chef for a renowned family in New York. So when the two meet after a year, what Matsumiya-ish stuff would happen?
Disclaimer: If I was older than Kitagawa, I would have gotten to them first!
Note: I don’t like writing OCs, so the other characters will just be Johnnys.
The fun begins~
Chapter 15:
Nino was running.
He didn’t care where he was heading or how far he went, he just needed to get as far away as possible. The tears had stopped flowing, but the stains were still on his face.
Nino sniffed.
He was so close. So close to being back together with Jun. But fate just had to do its worst.
His legs were tired by the time he ran down 20 flights of stairs and he soon slowed down to a saunter. Nino leaned against a wall, trying to catch his breath, when a loud clanging noise, followed by an ‘ouch’, coming from a floor below him.
Feeling curious, Nino made his way down yet another flight of stairs, only to see a skinny brown haired man lying face flat on the ground and a pair of crutches in front of him.
Nino, being Nino, went up and helped the man to his feet, “are you alright?” he asked, making sure the latter was steady before going over to get his crutches.
“Yeah,” replied the man, “I’m fine. Thanks for helping me. I’m Tegoshi by the way,”
“I’m Nino,”
The pair then slowly made their way out of the stairwell, thinking it would be more sensible to use the lifts, while laughing at their own stupidity.
It wasn’t long before they were out of the gloomy stairwell, and into the bright waiting area of the hospital.
“Nino-kun,” asked Tegoshi, as he and Nino made their way to Tegoshi’s ward, “Are you visiting someone?”
Nino nodded, mentally blocking out images of the previous incident.
“Who?” he probed, friendlily poking Nino.
Nino didn’t have to answer, for the said man was ambling towards the pair, both hands clinging onto the walls for support as he made his way down the corridor.
“Jun…” breathed Nino, not believing his eyes. Had Jun remembered who he was and was looking for him?
Just then, Jun’s legs gave way, and he was sent toppling to the cold hard floor. Instinctively, Nino rushed forward to help his Jun.
But someone beat him to it.
“You really should be careful!” cried Tegoshi, rushing up to Jun and tried to help him up despite being somewhat handicapped himself, “If you can’t walk properly, you should use crutches,”
Just then, Ohno and Sho came running down the corridor, and helped Tegoshi with Jun. Once Jun was properly on his feet, Tegoshi left go of him and smiled to the 2 new comers, “Hi, I’m Tegoshi!” offering his outstretched hand to the pair.
Ohno grinned and thanked Tegoshi for helping Jun.
But surprisingly, Sho simply stared at Tegoshi’s scrawny hand with a look of pure disgust and walked off without saying anything.
“Ignore him,” said Ohno pleasantly, “he’s just annoyed because Aiba isn’t here,” scratching the back of his head as he tried to lie to cover up Sho’s strange behavior.
“It’s ok,” smiled Tegoshi in return as he proceeded to chat with Ohno. With Sho gone, Ohno and Tegoshi talking animatedly while walking off, Nino was left with Jun who was giving him his famous death glare.
“Who said you could look at me?” barked Jun, staring at Nino with a piercing look.
Nino mumbled an apology and immediately looked in another direction. As Nino watched Jun’s retreating back through the reflection in the glass walls, he thought to himself, “Operation get Jun back officially starts now,”

Attempt 1:
Nino flushed crimson as he tried not to look at Jun who was gawking at him. Fiddling with the hems of his overly short black skirt, while playing with a strand of artificial brunette hair from the wig on his head, Nino forced out an ‘okaerinasai, goshujin-sama’ in an overly high pitched voice.
If he wasn’t trying to jolt Jun’s memories, Nino would never be caught dead wearing that!
Jun was still staring at him with his mouth hanging wide open. Taking the initiative, Nino went over to Jun, almost tripping thanks to the overly high heels he was wearing, and took the bowl of porridge from his hands.
“Say ah,” instructed Nino in the same awfully high pitch voice, spooning the porridge and placing it in front of Jun’s mouth.
Jun finally found his voice.
“WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING, YOU PERVERT?!” yelled Jun, grabbing his pillow and flinging it at Nino.

Jun scowled at the wall opposite him as he sat back on the bench of the hospital’s rooftop garden.
That annoying guy that came with Sho the other day had appeared in his ward, disgusting the hell out of him with that ridiculous French maid outfit he was wearing. What in the world was that weirdo trying to do? Seduce him with that horrible costume? Please, the world’s greatest Matsumoto Jun would never ever fall for someone as common as that guy.
“Jun-kun, is it?” asked the guy with the crutches before, randomly appearing at his side, “I really like the air up here,” he continued, “it’s nice,”
Jun decided to ignore him and turned to the side, the scowl still on his face.
“Stop being so negative, Jun-kun,” chided Tegoshi, clinging on to Jun’s arm in a playful manner in an attempt to cheer up the sulky man.
Jun was too deep in thoughts to take notice of Tegoshi, and merely pay no attention to him or his arm that was snaked around his waist.
But to a certain someone named Nino, who saw the scene unfold before him, he interpreted the whole situation wrongly.

Attempt 2:
Jun frowned at the uncompleted jig saw puzzle that mysteriously appeared on his bed when he left his ward to take a breather at the rooftop. From the pieces which were already in place, Jun assumed that it was a picture of a starry night sky.
Before Jun could guess what was going on, Nino burst into his ward on cue.
“Oh, Jun-kun,” he said pleasantly, glad that he need not use that squeaky voice, “wanna help me finish this puzzle?”
To add to the frown on Jun’s face, his eyes brows furrowed as he picked up the jig saw puzzle on his bed and flung it at Nino while yelling, “jig saw puzzles are for sissies like you,”
Nino was forcefully dragged out of the ward and the door slammed in his face.
“And don’t act as if you know me!”

When Jun was pretty sure that annoying sissy guy with the jigsaw puzzle had left, he made his way to the vending machine along the corridor to get some hot coffee.
The ruined jigsaw still laid on the floor of his ward, staring up at him as though they wanted to say something important to him.
Jun slipped a few coins into the slot and pressed the green button. Just what were the jigsaw puzzles trying to say? Was he forgetting something that he wasn’t supposed to forget? Jun knew he had hit his head pretty badly, but he felt perfectly fine. Yet, he wasn’t so sure.
Picking up the Styrofoam cup filled with cappuccino, Jun made his way back to his ward. But just like before, Jun was too occupied in trying to figure out what’s going on, which caused him to bump into someone else, the cappuccino spilling all over him.
“I’m so sorry, Jun-kun,” apologized the other, taking out tissues from his pocket and wiping Jun’s stained clothes.
If this happened at any other time, the person who bumped into him would have had a few broken bones by done, courteously of a DoS Jun. But to Jun’s surprise, he didn’t even flinch when the burning hot coffee came into contact with his skin. His brain must be too engaged with the whole jigsaw puzzle thing, to tell the nerves in his scalded shoulder to work.
But to Nino who was watching everything from the blind corner, the way Tegoshi fiddled with Jun’s shoulder, and Jun not even reacting looked so intimidate.

Attempt 3:
Nino glanced at the mirror one last time before making his way out of the toilet. This plan of his had better work, or else Jun would probably hate him for life.
The baby blue tux he was wearing made Nino look so out of place in the hospital, but Nino decided to ignore the stares that were thrown at him, his mind focused on making Jun remember him again.
Slowly sliding the door open, Nino saw Jun standing by the window, deep in thought.
“Jun,” he said.
Jun spun around in an instant, surprised for he thought that he was the only one in the room, “what do you think you’re doing?” he scowled, walking towards Nino.
Nino was tongue-tied.
Jun rolled his eyes in disgust and proceeded to leave the ward so he could get away from this annoying man.
“Stop!” cried Nino, when he realised Jun was walking away.
Jun felt someone grabbed him from the back causing him to lose his footing. The time taken for him to fall to the ground took forever. Closing his eyes to brace himself for the impact, Jun felt himself landing on something rather soft, which was definitely not the floor.
He opened his eyes in a hurry, hoping what he thought happened, did not actually happen. Jun stared at the guy underneath him, wondering who this really handsome guy was, when he realised it was the stupid annoying guy who he had hated.
Jun let out a gasp upon the realisation, only to hear his gasp being muffled by Nino’s lips. Jun stood up abruptly, slapping Nino as he did so, “YOU’RE SICK!”
Nino got up slowly as he saw Jun dashed out of the ward. Looks like the only thing he did was to make Jun even more pissed at him, and making his back ache from hitting the ground.
