Chapter 2:

Somehow, in the past two years, Jun seemed to have gotten taller. Much taller. He didn’t even put down his bag when he stormed over from the front of the bus to where Nino was standing with his heart pounding, his stomach flipping and barely being able to breathe.

Matsumoto Jun was quick, his same old jet black perm and absolutely the last person Nino wanted to see right now…make that for the rest of his life.

“What the hell are you doing here?” demanded Jun, his voice the same old dark and rich one Nino remembered.

“I’m…” began Nino, his voice soft and quivering. Nino swallowed, hoping that nobody, especially not Jun, took it as a sign of weakness, “I was going to start on a piece, but now I’m not,”

Nino began to walk back to his bunk when a strong hand grabbed his slim wrist. Nino’s heart thumped painfully.

“I wouldn’t do that if I were you,” warned Nino, straightening his usually slouched back so that he came up to Jun’s nose, and ignoring the fact that his knees were shaking, “I hope you still remember what happened the last time you touched me,”

Being able to coat his voice with some hint of scorn was little compensation for the fact that memories of what happened that night flooded his head, it was as if the giant dam he had built to block all those memoires burst.

Luckily, that seemed a good enough reason for Jun to release his wrist, which Nino was thankful for.

“Looks like Leader hired one of your ex-boyfriend,” laughed Aiba, trying to ease the uneasiness that Nino and Jun had created in the bus. In the midst of their ‘argument’, both Nino and Jun didn’t realize the bus had departed. Which means it was him with Jun, in a more or less confined space (the other three were of little help since he had only just met them, well, expect for Ohno, but he’s…)

“No,” said Jun, finally able to regain control of his voice, “this one is definitely not my type,”

“Oh really?” asked Nino, eye brows raised, “that didn’t seem to be the case the last time we met?” Was it him, or had he suddenly turned so bold? Must be that stored out hatred he had for Jun for the past two years finally being released.

“I’ll settle this with you later,” sneered Jun, eyeing Nino with such disdain. Nino tried not to show his fear but he knew he was crumbling, so the safest thing to do was to retreat to his bunk, pulled the curtain which separated his bunk from the rest of the bus, imagine Jun’s face on his pillow, and punch it.

Damn.

Damn that Matsumoto Jun.

It was all his fault he was stuck in his bunk with nothing to do but bash his pillows in an attempt to vent his frustration. That damned Matsumoto Jun was making him feel this way. Making him feel sick to the core as he thought about how he used to seduce all those men. It just made him feel so sick, no, he shouldn’t feel anything. It was his fault Jin divorced him, not Nino’s. That scumbag deserved it.

Right?

“What?” came a very unfriendly voice. The curtains were drawn open in a very violent manner, making the pole it was attached to rattle furiously.

“What?!” replied Nino in the most frustrated voice he could muster.

Nino saw Jun run a hand through his hair, “come with me,” he growled, pulling Nino out of his bunk and straight out of the bus.

Nino really wished he had stood his ground to give Jun the impression that he was strong, but being the smaller of the two, Jun easily overpowered him and out of the bus they went.

“I’m really surprised you asked me out on a date,” sneered Nino, thanking the gods for giving him such a sharp tongue, “I thought you told the rest I wasn’t your type,”

“Oh please, you are as far from my type as the moon,” replied Jun, dragging Nino across the petrol kiosk where the bus was parked in, “I just you to get your skinny ass out of the bus to somewhere the others won’t see us,”

“I didn’t know that world’s famous Matsumoto Jun is ashamed of what he did two years ago,” said Nino, his sentence saturated with sarcasm.

Jun glared at him, “If you don’t stop resisting, I’ll have to sling you over my shoulders,” Nino returned the glare. From Jun’s muscular body, Nino knew Jun could easily sling him over his shoulders. And in that kind of position, Nino would be forced to retaliate. With violence if necessary.

Although that seemed kinda fun, being able to get Jun back for all these years of tormenting him, but it’s his first day on the job.

“Fine!” spat Nino, following.

Nino was pushed into a store and pulled to a secluded corner. Nino glanced at the shelves around him. It was a clothing store that sold women clothes, “Why are we here?” asked Nino.

“Because this is the only place guaranteed that the rest of them won’t enter,” replied Jun as if it was the easily question ever, “So tell me, what are you doing, disguising as a composer?”

But before Nino could answer, a sales assistant came up to them, “can I help you?” she must have noticed their heated conversation.

“Just picking out a dress for my girlfriend here,” answered Jun coolly, pulling out a flaming red dress and held it in front of Nino. With Jun and the dress blocking Nino’s face, the sales assistant was dumb enough to be fooled by Nino’s slim figure.

After the assistant walked off, Nino stomped on Jun’s foot, hissing, “I am a composer. But I’m not a girl!”

Jun returned the dress to the rack, “Who are you after. Leader? Sho? Aiba? Don’t think I cant recognized you without your over sized jeans!”

Nino folded his arms across his chest, “I didn’t think you would look any higher than my thighs,”

Nino saw Jun bit his lips as out of the store they went, the assistant finally noticing that Nino was a guy, but it was too late, they were going back to the bus. Nino had to use his wits. There was no way he was going to allow Matsumoto Jun to send him back to that miserable life the second time.

“I’m staying on the tour!” announced Nino, so loud that the whole world would have heard.

“That doesn’t matter, because I’m not!”

Jun went up the bus and reemerge later with a black bag and a flashy hat which Nino recognized as the one on the bunk above his. Oh god! He nearly had Jun lying on top of him. Now that he had just said it in his mind, his last sentence did sound a bit wrong.

Ignoring the hot shivers that were sent up his spine, Nino boarded the bus and went straight to his bunk.
