It's really not your fault, no one cares to talk about it. Talk about it...
So I contemplated over the weekend as to where I wanted to go with the rest of my PetPals career. Do I quickly find another job, or manage to keep my unemployment... Eitherway, it bothered the shit out of me that Larry was telling people that I'd given my birds away. Yes, I have people taking care of them. But never did I ever say I was not taking them back. I still buy them food. And toys. But he'd said it to Mango's family and mentioned it to Kim. And I'm very sure he'd said it to other people as well. So I decided, I would inform him Monday that I would be taking Mango. And that's what I did. It worked out that way. I wouldn't have another check to go get. I'd get my last one and leave. I was 99% sure he was going to fire me over it. Considering how he'd attacked me on Wednesday about how I'd be out of a job if I took Mango because I was doing "deals through the store." It really translates to "I won't be able to make any money off of it!!!" I made a preemptive, and contacted Mango's family and let them in on what was going to happen. I advised them to have their number removed from the bird club so that Larry couldn't call them up and bitch. I'm sure he's wondering where it went when he went to put a note on there about them not being allowed to be serviced. LOLZ.
So I walked in there on Monday, waited for a stategic moment. Meaning I waited until close to 4 so Mellissa was there and Misty wouldn't have to stay long to hear him bitch. Witnesses so in case he got real dumb. So I said moment I walked up to him and said, "Larry. I've decided, I am going to be taking Mango." to which he responded, "Then I'll be seeing you in court. That's corporate theft. You didn't know that family until you were at this store. You're doing dealings through the store, its also embezzlement! My lawyer just got back with me on this matter today actually! So I'll be seeing you in court!" All I could really say was " Okay :o " And I did. And then because he didn't say anything about it I asked, "And my job?" His response, "Oh you don't have one anymore. Corporate theft is instant termination! I'll be seeing you in court!" I smiled and turned and just left. I guess Jay said "Thank you" to him. But we got into the car and off we went. I was going out with Misty after and needed to grab my car. According to Misty he went on about how he was in the right about suing me, and he was going to get my unemployment taken away. Which will be good.
Of course when someone says they're going to sue you it is scary in general. However, I really do not think I have much to worry about. A number of reasons. First and foremost being that Mango is not his property. Not to mention said property, is not in my possesion. There are no contracts saying the bird must return to the store. There are no contracts saying I can't take a bird if given one by a customer. They contacted me about it first. Larry seems to be confused and last I heard is telling people I went through his files, called them, convinced them to give the bird to me instead of him.
From what I've been told and Jay has discussed. Only once did we get to hear directly from a laywer. And generally the lawyer said that Larry does not have a case, and his own laywer would be stupid to go through with it. Provided that Larry does go through with it, tells people that I'm a theif, or stuff such as I have a case against him. And the lawyer we talked to said he would be very interested in taking the case. Jay says he was like " I've never had a bird case, but this sounds interesting." As far as I'm concerned, if Larry leaves me alone, I'll leave him alone. But when he starts persuing things I will fight back. He's a bully, and needs to be shown that not everyone will put up with it. I've put up with for two and a half years. I am finished.
I've come to the conclusion the reason for feeling sick a majority of the time after eating is because...* drum roll * I am lactose intolerant! WTF! What a horrible thing to do to someone who loves their dairy. :( Tragedy! It all kicks my ass. And really dairy things kick my ass for hours! I had a small iced cap and it killed me for three hours. And now that I'm aware of what my problem is, it bothers me more. Gah! Gay!
I moved my computer over Jay's today. I'm like almost moved in. All I need is my bed ( if we take it, I may just sell it ), boxes, and some clothes. This apartment needs to be cleaned though. Badly. I probably won't get to that until Saturday. Tomorrow I have a doctors appointment, and probably will go over my old house to do some more work. Friday I plan to have Mango man all day with me. Though depending on how early I take him home, with Jay out of the house I may proceed to clean. Then again, I like to clean with loud music, and you can't do that late at night. So we'll see.
