Although I'm registered to vote as an overseas absentee voter and have been planning to vote for Obama for ages, I'd been trying not to get too emotionally invested in this election because I freakin LOVED John Kerry and could not believe that apparently 4 more years of W seemed like a better option to the American people, but I just can't help but get sucked into this year's because Obama is, well, a little too awesome. Srsly, every debate/appearance he does just makes me like him more. If he doesn't get elected I will totally lose faith in the efficacy of democratic elections.....

I was never a huge Kerry fan. I sort of felt the quote "Kerry is a sack of concrete that we will drag to the finish line" was pretty appropriate. He just didn't ring my political bell. That being said, of course I voted for him because obviously he was a better choice than four more years of Bush. Blerrrrrrgh.
But OBama!!! I'm trying so very hard to not get my hopes up too much, but he's so very close. *squees a bit*

He's amazing. Did you see the footage from where the quote is from? If you youtube "Obama Alfred E. Smith Memorial" it should come up. Good times. Especially since he spends most of the time laughing at what he's saying. =)
