2006 in pictures
photos from my year...
From day two of 2006... work was pretty much began to consume all my energy...
My company opened up a new office in downtown Portland.
was lucky enough to get my own private office..
In April, I flew to Vancouver, B.C. to speak at a conference...
While there... I got to have breakfast and share a taxi with the hottest hacker on earth!

During the summer... I organized a train trip from Portland to Chicago and invited a bunch of software geeks from Canada, California, Washington, Colorado, Oregon, and Arizona.
here is one of me on the train...
It took two full days to get there...
I found out how much I like the Chicago nightlife...
..
sometimes... some pictures shouldn't be shown to the public...

I started taking more pictures...
and also started getting into hiking again.
After hanging out with my friend Nina... I started to get inspired to take lots more pictures. I found out that I had a strange fetish for pictures of buildings...
Before summer ended... I decided that it was time to buy a new car.
it's always nice to get behind the wheel of a new car...
my first day trip with it was to visit the Oregon coast...

My love for Tibetan food started to get crazy...
I got to go on another trip to visit Washington, D.C. for the first time. On the flight, I started to read The End of Faith by Sam Harris, which sparked a new interest of mine.
Since Dubya wasn't available to have tea with me.. I visited my old friend Abe.
...mom would be so proud...
when i got back... I bought a new camera.
Nina gave me some lessons on how to use it..
Allison doesn't mind being one of my props...
I did more hiking... with Gary and Dieter
and took many photos...
Then it came time for me to travel more... but before I left, Allison got new business cards made.
Then... off to visit London, UK..
I hung out with a cool guy from Canada... who had a thing for pink muppets...

Immediately from London... I flew to New York, NY to visit a client.
Allison met me there for the business trip.
the kids there amused me with their hoop'n fun.
after that trip... a week passed and then i was on the road to drive to California to speak at another conference.
before the conference, i spent a day to visit my nephew Micah...
my sister made me say hi to her as well..
i also got to visit the California coast
my friend James, who lives in London, UK came out for the conference as well. I took him to the Boardwalk..

we also headed to San Francisco to wander around...

Eventually, we got to spend money on some new office furniture...

Autumn began to set in... and I kept taking pictures
my athiest adventures continued... and I got to meet Richard Dawkins.
Gary takes some with me on occasions...
..i turned 27...
for xmas... i went to seattle to visit Allison's parents...
then we drove back...
and i enjoyed my new tea pot.
...then it was time to get back to work!
...and the new year came.
