It would be fair to call Greed a man of strong psychological constitution. Little things could set him off, odd things, and he was prone to mood swings from time to time, but he tended to swing back just as easily, prone to joie de vivre at his own ambitions.
It would be appropriate to call Greed a man of an extremely hardy physical constitution.

Yeah, Issei was going crazy. Because he'd seen Greed pouting over there by the railing and his first instinct was to see what was wrong. Completely crazy.
"...Not fond of the ship?" he asked, quietly coming up beside him a safe distance away.

Really, Envy should have picked someone else if he wanted to try to get in friendly; it probably just went to show that Envy hadn't really studied this role all that much. Greed's eyes darted to him before pointing at Issei's feet where they stopped, an indirect order not to make a step closer beyond that safe distance he'd chosen. The little punk might have made the mistake of thinking just because Greed was going to humor this act for a few lines that he was allowed to come closer.
"Not fond of the company."

"I hate you enough to cancel out how much I might like anyone else on here," Greed replied without much conviction. There was no use getting too worked up if he couldn't haul off and smack him, and a ship wasn't the best of places for a fight between inhuman monsters. Dented brick walls were fine, but leaky ships were problematic.
Envy WOULD want to know who he disliked, who to ally up with. It would be useful information, would make it easier to play himself if the chance came up. What a transparent little act!

That was all Rei had to offer by way of greeting. She was standing nearby, alone, so immobile it almost seemed more plausible that she'd appeared out of thin air than walked over. There weren't any signs of stress or indeed any other emotion at all on her face - if she knew about the ghosts, they weren't visibly bothering her.

Shit. Shit. Envy would pick a girl's form. It's the safest. But there had to be easier girls to pretend to be, had to be hotter girls to get in close with... but Envy blew his chunks back then, too, so, maybe someone he could be pretty sure Greed wouldn't try to molest would be best. The problem was figuring out his angle.
"...Yo." He answered belatedly with a hand raise, deciding to feel the situation out.

"You appear tired," she noted.

This was the kind of thinking that wore him out.
"Nn. Maybe a little."
He brought his hand over his face and sighed, thinking better of it quickly and darting his gaze through his fingers towards Rei. Envy could move closer without a sound, if her sudden appearance was any indication. He'd never actually seen her in person before, so, while he wanted to say that kind of stillness suited her, he harbored his doubts.
"How's that stuff been workin' out for you?"
He'd keep it vague. He could barely figure out their conversations half the time. If Envy knew anything about his connection to her, he would probably be just as lost. Maybe he'd bluff something and get caught in the act.

So it was that he found himself on deck seeking a bit of fresh air after stuffing himself on cake and chocolate parfait at the buffet. If he was gonna be stuck on a haunted ship, he might as well make the most of it!
As he was ambling along, he noticed Greed leaning over the rail looking for all the world as though he were contemplating throwing himself into the deep. And while that thought should have brought Envy some measure of comfort, his body decided to respond in a decidedly different manner ( ... )

Swallowing nervously, and feeling as though he would throw up yet again, "Edward" said in a shaky voice. "Y-Yeah... Never been on a ship before. I guess I haven't gotten my sea legs yet..."
His complexion had a decidedly green cast. "Edward" continued to lean over the railing, wishing that his stomach would stop doing crazy flip-flops.

The greenish color is easy enough to brush off as sea sickness. As he glanced back at Ed, a pathetic sight of a sickly midget, he couldn't quite keep down an amused grin. The kid looked short in videos, but in person he was even shorter. How much puke could something that small possibly hold, anyway?
"Leaning over the edge's only gonna make it worse, kid. Why don'tcha go ask someone for a mint or somethin' to suck on?"

It was such a sudden, energetic response that he could have rendered his prior sulking as merely a strange sleeping posture rather than depression. Now that he was 'awake' there wasn't a trace of lethargy remaining. It didn't really matter if it was Envy or not; Greed was sure that was an appropriate reaction either way. No to a lot of things. No to pretending to be him. No to being him. No to not being him.

"This is probably a redundant question, Herr," Klavier said still leaning against the side and swirling his sangria in his hand, "but is there something wrong?"

But she didn't need a cell phone to perform a proper investigation. A little luck and a lot of footwork... that's the majority of investigative work. It's not glamorous, but it's effective.
So the Detective Prince decided to act on her hunch and seek out the greedy Homunculus. Perhaps he might be able to clue her in and confirm whether the shapeshifting Homunculus really was stuck on the ship with them or not.
Approaching purposefully, but keeping a respectful distance (lest he should lash out), Naoto announced her presence in a polite manner. "Excuse me, but I'd like to have a word with you, if you don't mind."

Reaching into her pocket, she pulled out a leather-bound notebook and pen.
"I would like to ask you a few questions concerning Envy's whereabouts. If he is running amok, I need to take steps to inform the other passengers."

"Sounds like a personal problem, kid."
