TAR: the Third

Mar 15, 2005 21:01

San Diego, I mean Santiago, Chile.

12:34am. Rob and Amber.

Puente Viejo. The oldest bridge in Aregentina, unsuprsingly. Near to Buenos Aries.

1:24am. Ron and Kelly. An hour.

2:17am. Ray and Deanna. Wow, Rob and Amber did quite well.

3:16am. Uchenna and Joyce.

3:19am. Lynn and Alex.

Want to beat Rob and Amber? Goodness. Play your own race already.

3:24am. Meredith and Gretchen. "I voice my emotions." "I make it up to him in other ways." Heh.

Stupid bunching. Grrr.

Hmmm. Who went the right way? I'm guessing Rob and Amber.

Navigation is good. I'm in favor of that.

Shut up, Gretchen.

Are Patrick and Susan really still in Santiago? Oh, wait, they were in last place.

Paddle or Pedal. Hmmm. 7 miles by boat, or 7 miles by bike. I think I might go for the bike, though it is high and over rough terrain. They're probably pretty equitable.

80kph. That's pretty slow.

The wind could prove the deciding factor in the biking.

Lynn and Alex seem to have a better rhythym than Rob and Amber. Definitely key for rowing.

Camping Suizo.

Um, Amber is from Pittsburgh, not an island.

The ocean? Oh, boy. Where are they?

I like that they can see the river from the trail. Still, I think they can beat some teams.

Mendoza.

That's a lot of food. But it doesn't sound nasty.

It's true: when eating a lot, barf should be the farthest from your mind.

Mennnnddddoozzzzzzzza!!!

Chip would have rocked this challenge.

Interesting choice to forfeit. It seems like it could work. Okay, so it worked. That's just crazy. I think Rob is going to be a lot happier, no matter what happens.

Tactically speaking, Rob does know when to cut his losses. Being the first to forfeit was the ideal situation. He quit early enough to the start that the other teams won't be too far ahead. I don't like quitting in principle, but it seems like it will work for him.

"This tastes like a steak." Cut to the meat. Brilliant.

I like that they never give up. "I love you." "I love you, too." I'm sure a lot of people are reading more into that.

Rob and Amber kiss so much more convincingly than Ray and Deanna. Of course, two of them are engaged, two are on/off.

I like that Rob pulled off a yield without using the yield and convincing the team that they wanted to do it. No hard feelings and 5th place. Not bad.

Now it's dark. That's a bit of time elapsed.

That cut was later than now. So, we've gone back in time.

I like that Bianca is studying while her partner eats. It shows planning, which I like. Of course, they messed up majorly before hand.

Has there ever been a non-suprising "I wonder who it is?" race to the end?

Where was the taxi-gate? Did I miss it? Did they edit it out or is it next time?
