Ah, back to the good stuff. Fortunately, I missed most of NCIS before TAR started. Plus, my ham biscuits are almost done.
5:29am Ron and Kelly.
141 miles to
Sankuyo Village.
5:30am Rob and Amber.
5:51am Uchenna and Joyce. $85.
Um, Uchenna, Nigeria is thousands of miles away.
5:59 am. Lynn and Alex.
6:12 am. Gretchen and Meredith.
I love their garbage bags.
6:22 am. Brian and Greg.
"Thank you, cow cow." Hee.<
Not so quick on the directions, are they?
Detour: Carry It or Milk It.
The
milk looks easier, I think.
It looks like Ron is cheating with his hands.
Brian and Greg are not too good at reading directions. So sad. Amazing Foreshadowing or Amazing Comeback?
City of Maun.
Dude, Kelly needs a bra.
Amber is doing quite well.
Look, she made a decision!
They look pretty close, as far as volume is concerned.
I think the water is a good idea to take first; though it does seem like a good thing to practice a little first.
"Uchenna and Joyce were born to do this." Puh-lease. [Okay, but it is
it okay when Uchenna says the same thing? Am I being overly sensitive
or critical?]
Uchenna is nice and supportive.
Khwai River. Wasn't that in National Geographic? [Yes! Yes
it was!]
Gretchen and Meredith beat Lynn and Alex?! Damn.
That sucks that their car broke down.
I do think Amber is right about Ron and Kelly; they seem to be not so happy with each other.
How many replacement cars do they have? Do they have a convoy?
Roadblock. Navigate through crocodile infested swamp, then move logs.
I'm guessing Rob. Ha. I was right.
This drive looks so cool!
Splatter-Cam!
Rob kept the harness. Good idea.
Kelly is not supporting Ron the way he wants.
This Detour seems more time-consuming than hard, but it's better than mass-eating.
I wonder how much trouble Alex will have with the driving.
Khwai River Lodge.
Okay, so it was directed at Ron. Ouch.
It's a warthog, Lynn. Didn't you see Lion King?
Wow! That was so cool! Go, monkey!
Okay, Kelly is trying to take the Lynn road of the "high-road".
I love how the teams love the animals. Seriously, I'd be doing the same
thing. I'm sure the eliminated teams are watching this and cursing the
fact that they were eliminated.
Why do Rob and Amber have so much stuff with them? It seems like a ton of stuff to carry. 43 minutes in, and they are out.
Another European trip?!
Rob seems to be on good terms with Ron.
Crap! What didn't they do? Oh! Uchenna! Joyce! Quick! Do it right! Did they forget the marker?
Hey, I was right! He didn't take the post.
Teams seriously need to learn to read directions, like my lab students.
How did they miss the marker?
Still team #3?! Wow, they were ahead.
Two teams in a row?! Goodness. They are not paying attention.
At least Lynn and Alex are noting where the clues are.
Lynn was nice and supporting to Alex. I like to see that.
Please be non-elim. Of course, I'd want it to be the same folks for the rest of the race.
I love that their getting ready to be eliminated.
That was hilarious.
They are so funny. Way better than Jonathon's kid march.
Did they miss the clue? Please no.
Phil is so funny. His look is priceless.
Aw. So sad. They are so funny and wonderful. Aw. So sweet. Man, I want to go on the show with my brother.
Next time: Clips! Bickering! India!
Okay, so I'll trade Ron and Kelly for Brian and Greg. Any day of the week.
So, let's see what we had: Rob not bitchy or snide or sneering; ditto for Lynn; not a lot of passing, but some; teams enjoying the countryside; funny comments from racers. Not too shabby. A nice clean race. Nothing too exciting, and some sadness, but nothing to be pissy over. I'm not complaining. I will really miss the doofiness of the brothers. Ron and Kelly's bickering isn't that bad, as it's just them not getting along and nothing too demeaning. They can be petty, but not horrible like Ray and Deana were.
