If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don't speak often, please post a comment with a memory of you and me. It can be anything you want, either good or bad. Come on, just do it.

When you're finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people remember about you.

I remember the first time I actually got to know you when we (meaning you, me, Anjali, and Mimi) wandered around NYC. You bought extremely fantastic socks at the Gap and we ate at that diner. You let me have a taste of your chocolate egg cream and it was very tasty. Oh yeah, and you and I also held the sign for some Suffolk County German group and we got separated from the Nisky group but felt important. Ah, good times with Deutschklub...

That is when I first got to know you too. I actually thought it was only me that didn't know you well, and that Jen and Mimi did, or maybe that was just my lack of mad Deutsch skillz. But remember that beautiful chocolate cake in the diner?

I think at that point I still thought your real name was Zork.

I only figured it out when we were both coming back with Herr Carr from the Deutschklub dinner at the Bavarian restaurant and everything you touched in the little red car seemed to break down. And once he didn't call you Mr. Donhowe in his teasing usual way but Erik and that confused me till I figured it out.

You mean you thought I was a serial killer, like in that movie, "Urban Legends," where people get killed by urban legends?
