Just when I'm having a nice week, my dentist comes along, takes it all away and gives me a pretty good reason to never believe a thing he says. So I broke a tooth back in December and he wouldn't fix it until now. I finally get my appointment, expecting a root canal which is bad enough. He pokes around a bit and tells me that he can't do the root

Thank you. I'm in the, freezing has worn off but T1's haven't kicked in yet, stage. So, yes, ouch :(

I don't think a normal dentist is supposed to even do anything with wisdom teeth. You should've been sent to an oral surgeon, unless it's different in your state. You could sue him for it here.
