I finished teaching for the summer a few weeks ago, so I have too much free time. I should be studying, but it seems too difficult for me. Part of me feels I should be making money to cut into the tremendous amount of money I lost in this house. It breaks my heart when I think of all the stuff I haven't bought to save my money and then lose it all

marriage isn't necessary to being a successful human being. i think it's really admirable that you're working towards a phd, teaching, and saving up to buy a house, etc., and you're so young, too. many people don't ever own a home in their lives, much less get a degree. it's really unusual to see a person battling so many difficulties/disappointments to be doing so well and working so hard anyway. i'm not trying to, you know, make your problems sound trivial or anything. i just wanted to share the thought with you that you're awesome.
