Lindsay thought she was going to escape this day without having to sing. It was bad enough being a teenager who wasn't at all sure what paths she wanted to take in life. But to actually sing about it? Not exactly how she wanted to share her feelings. At least the lyrics were familiar and somewhat comforting.

Lindsay was very happy she was still a girl. That transformation, she was sure, would have majorly freaked her out. She was relieved not to have transformed into an animal also. Lindsay didn't feel like being cooped up in her alcove, so she thought sitting outside on the front steps would be a better way to spend the evening. It was moments like this that she missed her "freak" friends back home. This would be a moment when they'd all just loiter and hang out, not doing anything in particular.
