Today is my 30th birthday.  I haven't been looking forward to it, but it I couldn't stop it.  My co-workers were great.  They brought in tons of food to celebrate, including a cake with a cruise ship on it.  I had many friends e-mail me birthday wishes.  It was like it would be a good birthday.  I was a little surprised that my mom hadn't called me ( Read more... )

Oh Abbs, I'm so sorry to hear that!!! Mucho Happies from me, always!!

I know, it's the big 3-0 this year, I still got myself a few months, and I'm thinking I need to party it up this go round. My reasonings? Well, it's a marker, for sure. 2007 sucked mucho. I'm having a great burst of motivation - 2 weeks plus, now! And, I saw a party planning show that my dad insisted I see (yes, I still in Holl...) and by golly, did it catch my interest! It was a gothesque themed party with lotsa candles, blacks, purples, in a castle!

So, if luck goes, I might actually have a nice bash that I can give a "sweet 16 and 21st b-day" kina groove. Only it won't be in a castle. I am *so* not rich.

But, Happy Birthday, Abbey, and know that I haven't nor could I ever forget you! *hugs!*

I'm sorry I forgot. And I'm sorry your mom forgot - I totally know how that feels.
My mom always forgets my birthday - she hasn't called regularly on it since I moved in with my dad when I was almost 11. The thing is, my sister's birthday is 5 days before mine & my mom remembers! It really irritates me every year. I've made her feel bad about it enough times that she's actually gotten better.
