Mar 27, 2007 23:37

Okay, so there are only three members right now, but hopefully the word will get out soon. ^^;

Anyway, since I have been bemoaning the lack of good genfic in some of the lesser known fandoms of late, I thought that I should do something about it. :P So, anyone up for a genfic exchange?

I'll go ahead and post the rules and explanations now, since ( Read more... )

There's no real minimum, but it's preferable if your fic is above a drabble or doubledrabble in length. I'm not going to be too nitpicky about that, though, since I understand that if time becomes an issue it might be easier to get a drabble-length fic done. Thanks for asking! :3

Actually, thank you for asking and reminding me! I meant to add a definition to the userinfo here. ^^; Genfic is simply fanfic with no romantic pairings, either of het or slash. Or to be more precise, romantic pairings are allowed, but they should not be the main focus of the story.

For the purposes of this exchange, however, I'd ask that you just avoid romantic pairings altogether if at all possible.

Does that make sense?

LOL! Wow, it's great to see another genfic fan! We are definitely few, but I think we're growing. I've met several fans just recently, and hopefully this exchange will help as well. :3

I totally understand time issues (I really want to participate, but with my new crazy work schedule I probably shouldn't, really), but I really appreciate you just dropping a comment! And please do give the next exchange a try if you have time (assuming there is a "next" one)... Nobody here is going to nitpick (although I hope that constructive criticism will be given so that we can all grow) and you do get better with practice. ;) Plus, you can always ask for a beta reader to help smooth things out...

Anyway, thanks again for commenting! Hopefully we'll see you around here, at least as a reader if not a writer. :3
