We, the Mathies of North America, find that the use of math in the world is at a disgustingly low level. We call for a robust cleaning and higher standards of mathematics per the Church of Mathematics.
We shall not let anyone leave school until they understand that functions exist in higher degrees than 2, that integers are not the only number system, and that fields are important. Never shall a person attempt to approximate pi by 3, nor shall we let them think that e is a drug. In addition, students leaving school shall have a firm foundation in logic. When faced with a question that says "Either A or B, Not B", then all students will shout "THEN A". They shall say "Epsilon greater than" rather than "Less than 3"
Students will, instead, shout for joy when they see a differential equation of the form A(x )y" + B(x )y' + C(x )y = f(x ), where A, B, C are functions of a single variable x. They will squeal in delight at finite fields of prime power order. When faced with two methods of completing a problem, students will not choose the drill method but the method of understanding and enlightenment. They will choose to learn the abstract, rather than worked examples, and they shall find that abstractions are easier.
Never shall a student say "When will I use this?" but rather "Why does this happen?". They will desire to know more, and seek the abstraction. They shall dig deeper, so deep that even their mentors will not be able to keep up. They will learn the math, they will enjoy the math, and they will spread the math!
Let the words of math be shouted across the countryside, as this is THE WAR ON MATH!
