I think it's part of the new Chinese curriculum kind of stuff. To include more activities to make Chinese interesting?

my fault for the last minute thingy. He told me about it yesterday but I brushed it aside cos too tired from work, then trying to revise his Chinese and also finish his homework!!! Last few days were scrambling with his oral exam practise. Luckily you can make it man, otherwise he'll be bawling away.

What I meant was that he could have prepared it days in advance. He shouldn't be telling you only yesterday. Hope that it's a lesson learned for him. He's lucky that I'm not working at the moment. Otherwise, he can only depend on Nana...

You are such a wonderful and resourceful aunty. I would've been so lost!

I relied on hanyupinyin for all my years of learning Chinese. Every lesson I'd be scribbling down the hanyupinyin for the texts just in case my Chinese teacher asked me to read the passage!

So hanyupinyin is actually quite good huh. It helps people like us a lot.

Reading Timmy's post abt his Chinese assignments is stressing me out. I hope Xander will have an easier time next year.

I really salute you for your ideas. I think if it was me, I'll let Xander go to school with unfinished work to teach him a lesson! hahhahaha.. so mean of me huh? But then, I also dunno chinese, how to teach?

Not sure if this is true now but I always thought that mission schools normally do not place that much emphasis on Chinese. I remember whenever I told anyone that I'm from a Convent school, they will naturally assume that my Chinese will be poor...and they are often right. haha.
