This reminds me. I should buy some raw corn to pop too!

Remember you told me about those that can be microwaved - I never got round to doing it.

Oh, but this is so much better than the microwave ones! The microwave ones are full of additives. Some time back, I ate some and felt a funny after taste in my mouth, like a coat of funny grease. Better to make it natural.

Just to share we have tried the microwave ones. Instructions were too vague - to seal the bag and then let it pop and stop when it stopped popping. But when I saw the bag turning and started to expand with all the popping sound, it got quite scary coz it seemed like any minute it might just burst & I wasn't sure when to stop (which the instructions warned not to overheat, but didn't state like for how long or at what temp! We were also not supposed to re-microwave the unpop corns from the bag)
So I kiasu and stopped the microwave only to find to our disappointment half of the corns in the bag were popped with the rest of raw seeds still inside the bag. So what my hubby did was to pop those in a visible pot instead with some salt - and those turned out and tasted so much better than the ones popped from the microwave! So for the remaining unopened pack, we intend to just pop it the old fashion way :)

I love homemade popcorn, sure beats those nasty cardboard tasting ones from the supermarket!

Honey burns quickly so only add it in the last few minutes.

Much easier than I thought. I just heat up the wok, put some oil and put in 3 handfuls of corn. Fry it a little. When the first one starts to pop, put the cover on. Remove cover when there's no more popping sound.

After that, flavour it.
