You know, i always know who my favorite band is, but I have rarely had a solid 2-5. But I do now. It is kind of cool really, for their to be so many bands that I absolutely LOVE. Awesome. Social Distortion would be hanging out around spot 6 for me probably. Much like you, I may not have a Social D life anymore but their music still touches home. As far as NIN goes, you should give Year Zero a listen. Give it 3 listens, like I said,it had to grow on me. It isn't as angry and despondent as their older stuff(not that their is anything wrong with that). It is a concept album, so it tells a story and such. Reznor has been leaning a bit more towards solid beats and such and less towards "Sweet bejesus what is this noise?" anger and depression. It's pretty good stuff ( ... )
