kanye samples "harder better faster stronger" by daft punk, who are sampleing... something about a coke bottle? can't remember the exact name, "coke bottle baby"... something like that. and he pinched the lyrics from friedrich nietzsche. (what doesn't kill me, makes me stronger)
the verve used the orchestra sample in "bittersweet symphony" from the rolling stones song "the last time". as a result, mick and keith have a songwriting credit (music)along with richard ashcroft (lyrics)
(i LOVE that song. if you ever hear it on a jukebox somewhere round town, chances are it was me/my friends!)

I know Stevie Nicks plays the riff in the beginning of the Bootylicious clip, and I've loved her work and am an avid Fleetwood Mac fan, but I keep thinking the riff sounds like Survivor's "Eye of the Tiger" and that is blurring my memory of Stevie's songs.
As for Tone Loc, I know I should know that one and it's going to eat at me all day lol
