Dad?

I met my biological father tonight. I havent seen him since I was about 4, maybe 3. He doesnt have a great life, it's really no life at all but that's the one he chose. I prefer not to get into detail about it because it's not relevant, what is is that I finally met him and talked with him for the first time in about 16 years. I thought it would be ( Read more... )

Awww Jessie, I'm glad you saw your dad. :) and I'm glad he was very much-so interested in your life. If I were your parent, I'd be so proud of what you have, so far accomplished.

Your best personality trait has really shown. My mom and I were discussing this one day, you are the least judgemental person I have ever met. and how you didn't judge your dad for chosing his ways of life. (which I'm not completely filled in on, which is ok too) then again, he is your dad, blood is thicker than water.

Thanks Jacque, that means a lot to me. :) The thing is David doesnt work, he has no money, no assets, he has lived with his parents his entire life, Ive been told that he has Hepatitis C, and he does drugs. He's incredibly lazy, lol. I certainly dont agree with how he lives or what he does (or doesnt do, for that matter) but like you said, blood is thicker than water. He's a genuinely nice guy and he's funny but he has just made a whole pile of bad decisions and continues to do so. Im still not quite sure what to think of it. What I do know is that he makes me feel good for being who I am so right now that is enough.

you're welcome. I think maybe you should keep in touch with him. KICK HIS ASS! lol maybe having you around MIGHT change his ways. and I see where Chris get's his bad-decision making traits from. lol

hep-c is horrible. and by you saying he does drugs, well, that's where he got it. and it wouldn't surprise me if he ever got AIDS from it. like I said, maybe you can help him change his ways.

Yeah, my cousin (on my real dad's side) who knows David better than I do said that having Chris and I around might motivate him to change. I hope so, we'll see.
