I know what studying something miserable feels like, and it feels like a failure when you ask yourself why aren't you doing something better than this?
The job and trying to see how soon you can swap degrees is going to swap between exciting, scary, WTF, and thensome as it all happens, but think of it as a youthful adventure into the real world and keep at it for the goal you really want.
