Yeah, I suck at Blur too. I've finished in first maybe 3 or 4 times out of several hundred races. One of them was online with about 15 people, including Cougarslayer & Wiki... in case you don't believe me.
In other game comments, the new PoP is really dumb, but just entertaining enough to play though the story once before returning to gamefly. Alan Wake is annoyingly hard & scary. I own it, but have trouble inserting the disk, due to my desire to keep my sanity intact. Are we playing Rock Band Green Day next week?
Is it weird that I felt a pang of envy and nostalgia that you were gaming with Cougarslayer and Wiki? I miss those good ol' Rock Band days. *sniff* I added one more 1st place finish yesterday. Almost had two, but I got shocked so much during the last couple turns on Mt. Haruna that I went from a solid lead to 4th by the time I crossed the finish line.
I'll get PoP from GF soon enough. How is it dumb though? Just button mashing mindlessness or something else? I loved Alan Wake, though I think I lost some of the creepy factor by rushing through it a bit. Great game, awesome atmosphere, totally filled the niche I wanted to.
Yes we are playing Green Day RB. Next Sunday good for you? I should be around pretty much all day except 1-5 PM EDT or so. I'd love to play earlier in the week, but I'm saving my 'taking-a-personal/sick-day-to-play-video-games' day for RB3... which you will play with me at that point, right? ;)
Next Sunday should work. Vince (oh largent) is coming over for our True Blood season 3 party, but he loves Rock Band too; I'm sure he'd want to play as well. I guess I gotta put my drums back together again...
