BASICS

Name: Caitlin
Age: 21
Location: Currently in Dullsville, USA home on break
Which gender do you wish to be stamped as? Doesn't matter, surprise me :)
Picture (reduce to a thumbnail or URL): Well, as this is a Matrix stamping community, I'm going to give you one of me in sunglasses. (For the record, I have no idea why I took this.)

SCRATCHING THE SURFACE

1. What are your strengths? I'm responsible and trustworthy, and have a pretty good work ethic for the most part (though I'm not immune to the occasional bouts of procrastination... damn Internet :p). I've been told that I'm a good writer I'm not sure if I completely believe this, though, and I'm a fiend for proper spelling and grammar. I have a lot of ideas and a mind that is constantly churning. I'm pretty stubborn and determined, and I like to see things through to completion, no matter how hard it gets. I'm also kind of quirky, which I guess could be considered good or bad, haha.

2. What are your weaknesses? I'm a total introvert and kind of a loner, and feel like I can't relate that well to other people sometimes. I have, and have always had, this horrible tendency to live inside my own head instead of the so-called "real world" (though I do know when to, um, come back and meet my deadlines). I constantly doubt myself and my abilities, and I never feel like anything I produce is any good. I also love to stay up really, really late either writing like crazy or just messing around on the computer, and this causes problems for me sometimes (like if I have somewhere to be the next day). Oh, and I'm a total caffeine addict.

3. What are five words that would describe you? Unique, creative, quiet, introspective, determined

4. What are your hobbies/interests and talents? Horseback riding, writing, reading, watching every movie I can get my hands on, filmmaking, Hollywood/the film industry, playing around on the computer, learning a bunch of random things, observing the world, and I recently got into martial arts. I'm sure there are more that I'm forgetting.

GETTING DEEPER

5. This or that
Knowledge or Imagination: Imagination
Justice or Mercy: Justice
Bravery or Revenge: Bravery
Rule or Be Ruled: Rule

6. How would you summarize your thoughts on life? Don't worry about what other people think of you. If you feel like you have done something to make yourself feel successful or satisfied, then that's what matters.

7. What is one life lesson that holds a lot of meaning to you? Honestly: "There's a difference between knowing the path, and walking the path." I had to realize recently that, despite my Type A personality, I couldn't plan out my entire life, and nothing happens quite like you expect it when you get there.

8. What is your order of importance: Power, truth, freedom, Freedom, truth, power

9. If you could do something illegal without any consequences whatsoever, would you do it and why or why not? It would depend on what it was. If it was something that could save someone's life and/or make the world better, then I would do it. Otherwise, no.

10. What is one figure (non fictional or fictional) that you admire. Why? I have to say, I really admire Larry and Andy Wachowski (that's okay to say on a Matrix comm, right? :p). Why? Because they were stubborn, and fought until they get could their film made the way they wanted it. Also, because of their attitude during the sequel release timeframe: that they wouldn't give interviews, instead letting their films speak for themselves. I respect that.

FAVORITES

11. Film(s): The Matrix trilogy, Memento, Moon, Star Wars, Little Miss Sunshine, The Dark Knight, Lord of the Rings trilogy, Gladiator, Chicago, Constantine, Speed, Gattaca, Minority Report, District 9, V for Vendetta, Star Trek (2009), The Lion King
... I'm sure there are more that I can't remember right now. I love movies. Seriously.

12. TV show(s): Alias, Frasier, Will and Grace, Modern Family, Heroes (mostly just season 1), House MD. Glee and American Idol are my guilty pleasures.

13. Book(s): 1984, Brave New World, A Scanner Darkly, Ender's Game, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, The Count of Monte Cristo, To Kill a Mockingbird, His Dark Materials trilogy, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Watchmen (yes, I consider this a book :p).
I'm probably forgetting some here too, as I also really love books... almost as much as I love movies.

14. Song(s) Too many to name.

15. Time period(s): Umm, maybe ancient Greece and ancient Egypt. Rome too (I took Latin for my language requirement, which was one of my favorite parts of college). I'm a dork for ancient civilizations.

16. Musical artist(s): I like pretty much everything, except for country. Some of my favorite artists right now are Massive Attack, Portishead, Paul Oakenfold, Rob Dougan, Lady Gaga, the Beatles, Coldplay, and a lot of classical and film score composers.

ET CETERA

17. Do you have a favorite film in the Matrix trilogy? I love them all, and asking me this question would be like making me choose between my hypothetical children. However, if I have to pick, I will say the first film. It's what introduced me to the wonderful characters and awesome universe, and for that it will always have a special place in my heart. <3

18. What is your favorite quote from any of the films? "Because I choose to."

19. Is there anything else that you would like to add? I'm a really, really, really obsessed Matrix fan. ... This is awesome XD
