Hi Nicole....I was just reading this entry and I thought of mentioning Habana Outpost. I don't know if you know it alread, and if so this comment will be useless, but they are a totally green environmentally-sustainable restaurant...recycled everything, solar power, even pedaling bikes in order to blend your drinks. I recall you discussing how you were looking for interesting stuff to do around the city so I figured you might totally love this place based on your interest in such things.

I just visited it with a friend who loves its eco-friendly ways, and it's awesome...with amazing food and cheap margaritas to boot (they easily made my veggie burrito vegan upon request too). Just thought I'd pass word of it along the grapevine of other people who are passionate about these issues and might want to patronize such places/meet other eco-loving people there!

Brooklyn, um Fort Greene-ish. train-wise, it's directly off the C stop at Lafayette and Fulton. it's actually on Fulton, but about three steps from the train station so you really can't miss it.
