Chapter 7:
Ohno lightened his cigarette with shaking hands. Taking a big puff, the leader looked at the full moon in the sky. Nino's words were turning and turning in his head, bringing lots of questions but none answers.
"Maybe he was dreaming about another Satoshi..." Ohno muttered to himself. His phone made him jump and looking at the screen, Ohno opened it. "Yes?"
"Kazunari, it's me."
"Hello, Kei."
"I wanted to know if you have thought about my proposition..."
"Kei... I don't know..." The leader sighed, blowing the smoke of his cigarette. He didn't hear Nino walking to the balcony.
"Please. I might be in love with you."
"Kei, you know nothing about me..." Ohno sighed.
"It's a good way to know each other a bit more."
"I... I don't know. I love him... It would be wrong to date you when I'm in love with my own best friend."
"But he doesn't love you. He loves women, you have to accept it and to move on."
"I KNOW!" Ohno suddenly yelled, making Nino jump behind him. "I know he will never love me, Kei. But I can't help it. I can't control my feelings nor my heart. He is the only one. Do you realize you were the first I was kissing in six years because I couldn't with someone else than him?! I know I'm horrible for saying that but I was desperate and... I saw him with someone else and it broke me. I like you, Kei, you're a nice guy but... I don't think I can... I... Love him so much, as if he was a part of myself..." Ohno's voice died in a sob. The leader drank the glass of vodka next to him quickly but tears started to roll down his cheeks. "I know I haven't any chances with him but even if I can lie to the whole Japan, I can't lie to myself. My heart belongs to him, I've got him under my skin..." Ohno said with a weak voice.
The leader didn't say anything, crying and listening to his "lover" who was yelling.
Nino was paralyzed. Ohno's words were breaking his heart. The pain and sadness in his voice were destroying him and he understood how much he had hurt his friend during these six past years. He had been a complete asshole, an idiot and selfish asshole. Ohno's love for him was so pure, so sincere but he didn't know how to react. He wasn't gay...
"I'll think about your proposition. Thank you, Kei-chan, good night." Ohno whispered before hanging up. The leader lightened a new cigarette and drank a new glass of vodka quickly. "Why can't I stop loving you and tell you goodbye, Kazunari?" Ohno sighed in the dark night, a tear rolling down his cheek.
Nino turned on his heels and left the balcony.

"My mother called." Ohno said, breaking the silence between them.
"And?" Nino asked, swallowing his coffee.
"She wants to see me."
"Good, it's been a while since... Eh?!!!" Nino stopped, suddenly realizing what Ohno's words were implying.
"You heard me."
"I can't. I know nothing about her... I..."
"Kazu, my mom is like a second mother for you and plus, you know me by heart." Ohno sighed.
"False. I don't know you. Do I have to make you remember I didn't know you love me? I realized that I'm so selfish I've never seen your feelings for me." Nino mumbled.
"It's not your fault. Besides, I am a pro to hide my feelings." Ohno chuckled.
"Anyway. I hurt you and I will never forgive myself for what I did to you. I understand now what it feels when you have this big hole in your heart." Nino mumbled, looking at his cup in his hands.
"I don't hate you if you were wondering. But I still think you know me by heart because even if you are selfish like you said, you have always been an amazing and precious friend for me. You weren't aware about my love for you but you know me better than no one else. If you don't count Jun-kun." Ohno smiled weakly.
"Alright." Nino sighed.
"Thank you, Kazu. I'll come too, if you need some help." The gamer nodded gratefully.

"Satoshi!" Hanako exclaimed, hugging her fake son tightly.
"Hello...mom..." Nino mumbled.
"Oh, you brought Kazu-kun too. It's been a while, I hope you are taking care of my baby!" Ohno's mother smiled.
"Mom!" Nino frowned.
"You're too thin, babe, you should eat more instead of working so hard! And Kazu-kun isn't better, I can see your bones, what's your goal, ending so thin the wind will be able to make you fly or even losing your bones?!" Hanako mumbled. "You won't create a storm in Japan, it will be a storm that will swallow you."
Ohno sighed in front of his worried mother. Throwing an apologetic look to Nino, Ohno followed Hanako who made them sit and gave them some chocolate cake.
"Kazunari is such a beautiful guy, now. Why did you never date him?" Hanako asked.
"Mom!!" Ohno and Nino exclaimed at the same time.
"What? He knows you love men, doesn't he?" Hanako chuckled and looked at the fake Nino. "Men always broke his little heart. I hoped there would be more than friendship between you."
"There is." Nino exclaimed without realizing what he was saying. Ohno blinked, shocked.
"Eh?"
"There is more. Mom... We are kind of dating..." Nino whispered.
"Eh? Really? Satoshi, I'm so happy!" Hanako hugged Nino who froze when he saw Ohno's death glare.
"Satoshi, can we have a word?" Ohno asked with a fake smile.
"Of course my love." Nino grinned, pecking Ohno's lips.
The leader pushed Nino inside of his old bedroom before turning to him, anger shining in his eyes.
"Did you lose your mind?!!!" Ohno yelled.
"No."
"Are you crazy or definitely stupid?! Why did you say this lie?! Why?!" Ohno shouted angrily.
"Because I want to date you." Nino simply replied.
"Eh?!!" The leader's mouth widened.
"I'm serious, Satoshi. I want to date you. I want you to be my boyfriend." Nino replied.
"Ok... I think it's better if I leave this room now before I can say things I don't mean." Ohno muttered, turning around but two arms wrapped his waist.
"Stay."
"Kazu... I think you don't realize what you are saying." Ohno whispered painfully.
"I do know. I am serious. These past few days made me understand that I... I love you too."
"You're crazy." Ohno replied, pushing Nino away. The gamer grabbed his leader's arm to smack their lips roughly. "Stop that!" Ohno yelled, slapping Nino's cheek roughly.
"Sato..."
"I hate you, it's what you wanted?! I hate you Ninomiya Kazunari!" Ohno shouted before running away.
"Satoshi!!" Nino screamed.
Ohno slammed the door behind him furiously. How did he dare?! How this fucking selfish brat dared to play with his feelings?! Ohno hit the tree with his fist, screaming loudly.
"Satoshi." Nino's voice resounded behind him.
"Was it fun?"
"Hun?"
"Was it fun? Did you laugh enough with your stupid joke?!" Ohno cried.
"I wasn't joking, Toshi. I meant every word." Nino said softly.
"No!"
"Sa..."
"No! Don't say anything. I handled a lot of things, I forgave you for Yano but now, I..." Ohno's voice died when Nino grabbed his nape to smack their lips. The leader tried to push him away but Nino tightened his grip and even slipped one of his hands under Ohno's thigh to raise his leg around his waist.
"Don't do that!" Ohno implored between their lips.
"I want to." Nino replied, shutting his leader with another feverish kiss. The gamer lifted Ohno in his arms who wrapped his legs around his waist without breaking their kiss. Nino led him inside of the house and then, the bedroom, laying the older down on the bed.
"Kazu..." Ohno protested.
"I want you. I want to love you, let me love you, Satoshi." Nino whispered in a pleading voice.
"Kazu..."
"Please!"
"Kazu."
"I..."
"Kazu, stop!" Ohno pushed the gamer away.
"But..."
"I can't. I lied, I don't trust you and plus, it would be weird to make love with you. It would be like making love with myself." Ohno said.
"I really love you." Nino stated.
"And how did you figure it out? You never loved me and one day, woke up and understood you had feelings for me?! It doesn't work like that, Nino, I'm not your toy!" Ohno exclaimed before leaving the bedroom.
Nino sighed. He understood why Ohno reacted like that, after all, he betrayed the trust between them.
The next days became very awkward. Ohno was avoiding Nino who was becoming crazy in front of his best friend's silence. His leader was dating Kei or mostly trying to forget the gamer. The tension came back between the members with Jun who was supporting Ohno and Aiba who was trying to comfort the younger. Outings almost stopped or when it happened, Ohno didn't come or stayed silent during the whole night even if he had never been a talkative person. Nino on his side was trying to find an answer for this enigma and at the same time, tried to find a way to win his best friend's trust.
"Don't you think it's time to fix this problem?" Jun one day asked.
"I told him I want to date him. I love him." Nino replied.
"Kazu, you're usually very smart but today, I'm really wondering if you have a brain." Jun sighed.
"What?"
"Ohchan loves you deeply. You told him three weeks ago you were seeing him only like a brother and now, you say you love him? What is the problem with you?"
"I thought I loved him like a brother but I was wrong. I love him like a lover, I want to date him, to protect him, to kiss him and make love with him..."
"Okay, okay, stop, I got it." Jun raised his hands. "Kazu, Ohchan is waiting for you for a long time and you betrayed his trust. You can't come and say that you want to date him like that. You have to fight, now. You're going to understand what hoping and fighting for the one you love is. It's not too late, you still can fix everything but it will be hard." Jun smiled sadly.
"Thank you, J." Nino whispered.
"Despite my attitude toward you recently, you know I love you like a brother, Kaz'." Jun patted his shoulder and left the room.
Nino knocked on the door nervously. He didn't know if it was a good idea but had to try.
"Nino?" Ohno blinked when he saw the gamer in front of him.
"Hello. Can I come in?"
"I..."
"Please, it's very important."
"Okay." Ohno sighed and opened his door to let him enter.
"I was serious the last time when I told you I love you."
"Nino..."
"No. Listen to me. I know I have been a complete selfish asshole with you and I apology for my horrible attitude. To be honest, I was afraid. Afraid of your feelings, afraid of my own feelings. You know, I always dated women and admitting I was in love with my best friend was too hard. But this mess helped me to understand how much I love you and not as a brother. I want to date you, to kiss you and mostly, to make you happy. I want to love you fully and freely. Satoshi, even if it takes me days, weeks, months or even years, I'll prove you I'm honest and I'll win your trust again." Nino stated, staring at Ohno straight in his eyes.
"I don't know what to say..." Ohno lowered his head.
"Don't say anything. But give me a chance. I want to take you somewhere, just the two of us."
"I... Okay..." Ohno sighed.
"Thank you, Toshi." Nino smiled happily. "Come on." The gamer took his hand and led him outside.
"Where are we going?"
"You'll see." Nino smirked.
In the car, nobody spoke. They stayed silent, Ohno looking at the landscape through the window and Nino staring at the road in front of him. After twenty minutes, Nino stopped the car and hiding Ohno's eyes, led him inside of a big building.
"Ohhh..." Ohno's mouth widened when Nino lowered his hands.
"Are you happy?"
"I... Yes... It's amazing, thank you."
"It's the biggest aquarium of Japan."
"I know. I'm so happy!" Ohno smiled like a child and both started the visit. Nino grinned happily when Ohno's old smile came back on his lips without leaving it for the whole day. The leader was talking excitedly while showing the sharks, the tunas and other fishes, looking like a five years old boy.
"Did you enjoy?" Nino asked at the end of the day, wrapping his arm around Ohno's waist and kissing his cheek.
"Yes, thank you Kazu!" Ohno beamed.
"I'm glad, then." Nino smiled.
"Do... Do you want to come inside?" Ohno asked when Nino brought him back to his apartment.
"I would love to but... Satoshi, even if we aren't in our real bodies, I... I think I would try something onto you... It's not a good idea."
"Thank you for being honest. I've loved this date. Good night, Kazu." Ohno made an hesitant step and kissed Nino's cheek before closing his door with a red face.
