Chapter 7: Hopes

"Satoshi!!!" Jun's voice yelled.
Ohno jumped, opening his eyes. He was laid on the ground, sweat rolling down his face.
"Jun?" Ohno's eyes widened when he saw Jun looking at him with worried eyes. "Jun!!!" Ohno yelled and jumped in the younger's arms, crying loudly.
"Sato?"
"I believed you were dead!" Ohno sobbed, burying his face in Jun's neck.
"I'm here." Jun smiled, stroking Ohno's hair.
"It was horrible, so horrible." Ohno shivered, smelling the amazing scent with happiness.
"It's over, now. You did great."
"What?" Ohno blinked, pulling out.
"I... I didn't have the choice, I... Aku and Aki ordered it." Jun lowered his head.
"I don't understand, explain!" Ohno snapped.
"I... The night you drank, I put something in your wine... It put you in a kind of trance, as if you were dreaming..." Jun explained.
"You... You drugged me?!" Ohno exclaimed.
"No... I... Aku wanted to test you... I didn't have the choice, he... I'm so sorry Satoshi..."
"You are telling me you drugged me, made me believe you were dead and that strangers were about to kill me?!" Ohno shouted.
"I... Yes... It was a kind of test, to see your reactions, your powers and your will..." Jun whispered.
"I hate you!!" Ohno yelled and stood up to run away.
"Satoshi!!" Jun called.
"Why didn't you tell him the truth?" Sho asked.
"I can't. He isn't ready, Aku forbade me." Jun sighed.
"You'll lose him if you hide him the truth."
"I know but..."
"Does Aku was right about Ohchan?"
"Yes."
"You don't seem happy." Sho frowned.
"I am. It's incredible how I feel happy but I knew Toshi would hate me when he'll wake up."
"You know he can't hate you, he is just angry."
"I hope so. I need him, I waited so long for these answers."
"When Ohchan will know, everything will be over." Sho smiled, patting Jun's shoulder.
"I'm going after him."
"You should leave him alone or Nino will kill you." Sho showed Nino who was throwing death glances toward Jun.
"Maybe I should tell him the truth."
"Yes."
Jun stood up and sat next to Nino. Sho stared at his friend, looking for his reaction. After a moment, Nino's face became white, tears filling his eyes. Sho felt sad for his friend. He saw Nino nodding and looking differently at Jun.
"I won't give up, you know?" Nino said softly.
"Yes."
"But now, I understand your behavior and I think I can trust you. Thank you for telling me." Nino smiled.
"Thank you, even if you are trying to steal me Toshi." Jun chuckled.
"I love him more than anything."
"I know, that's why I can't hate you. Because you love him as much as me and would do anything to protect him and make him happy." Jun nodded.
Ohno smiled when he saw the cute brown chipmunk with long big ears and a long tail on the ground.
"Hey, you are cute you, you know." Ohno kneeled, putting his hand on the floor and after some seconds, the chipmunk climbed on it with curiosity. "Where does your family is?" Ohno whispered. The little animal looked at him with its big puppy eyes, its nose moving with curiosity. "You look like Sho-kun." The prince chuckled, stroking the soft hairs delicately.
"He likes you." A voice made him jump.
"What do you want?" Ohno mumbled.
"Satoshi, we need to talk. Let me explain, please." Jun implored.
"No. I don't want your lame excuses, leave me alone." Ohno replied. The chipmunk climbed on his shoulder to nuzzle in his neck, its tail wrapping its body.
"So that's it? You don't want to talk? Maybe you would have preferred if I was really dead." Jun snapped.
"How can you say that?! I thought I had killed you. I lived for several months thinking you were dead and I would never see you again! How can you know what I feel? I was hoping every day to die! For the fucking sake, I let these men kill me!!" Ohno yelled.
"I'm sorry Satoshi. I know I made you suffer and what I did to you was horrible but I had to. Aku and Aki asked me to. They wanted to test your will and your strength without me. At the beginning I refused to do it but they told me you would die if you didn't pass their tests. I... I just want to protect you, you are my first priority and... And when I saw you crying and screaming my name while you were sleeping, I thought I wouldn't bear it.... I... Satoshi... It killed me but I had to obey... I just want you to be safe because I..." Jun stopped, biting his lip as tears were finally rolling down his cheeks.
"You what?" Ohno asked.
"I love you." Jun whispered.
"Eh?"
"You heard me!" Jun snapped, looking away with red cheeks.
"No." Ohno said innocently.
"I love you for the fucking sake! I can't stand seeing you with someone else, especially with Nino. I don't know why... There is this bond between us that I can't explain... I... If I can't take care of you, I..." Jun's voice died.
"Jun." Ohno kneeled in front of him and pushed away a lock of hair. "Thank you." The young prince added before bringing their lips in a deep kiss. Jun grabbed his nape, pressing their bodies together and pushing Ohno on his back. The older smiled between their lips, one of his hand traveling in his lover's soft hair, the other wrapping the thin waist.
"I love you." Jun whispered. Ohno grinned happily before burying his face in the younger's neck, inhaling the intoxicating scent.
"I'm sorry for disturbing but we still have a long road and eating each other's mouth won't make us walk." A voice smirked.
"Sorry..." The lovers pulled away, blushing. Sho only smiled, his eyes avoiding Jun's.
"Come here." Jun showed his black horse to Ohno who frowned.
"What?"
"Ride Whisper with me."
"No, we will hurt its back." Ohno replied.
"He is okay. Whisper is strong."
"But..." Jun didn't let Ohno the time to reply and lifted him up. The young prince climbed on the horse with a pout but smiled when his lover climbed behind him.
"So, will you keep pouting?" Jun smirked.
"It depends." Ohno chuckled.
"On what?"
"On how you will kiss me." Ohno turned his face, allowing Jun to steal his lips hungrily.
"Hey, stop with your sappiness, lovebirds, we have better to do than watching your remake of a drama." Sho smirked.
"Shut up, Sho!" Jun replied.
"Ohchan is so lucky!!!" Aiba sighed, jealous.
"Baby!" Sho wrapped him in his arms to give him a deep kiss.
"I'm really traveling with a band of idiots." Nino mumbled.
"We could form a boys band!"Aiba exclaimed.
"Yes, Aibaka&cie." Nino smirked.
"Oi!!" Aiba pouted.
"As we are looking for Arashi, we could be Arashi." Sho smiled.
"I was fucking kidding! We aren't a stupid boys band, it's the war!" Nino snapped.
"Yes. And as everything is dark, little things like that help us to feel better and smile." Jun sighed.

"Come on, we have to hurry." Jun stated, leading his horse at the same time of hugging his lover who had laid his head against the younger's chest.
"And Yume?" Ohno asked.
"He will follow us." Jun showed the white horse walking happily next to them.
"He is so clever." Ohno grinned.
"He just loves its master very much." Jun kissed Ohno's head.
"I'm not his master, I'm his friend."
"I know. Oh, you kept him!" Jun jumped, seeing the chipmunk against Ohno's thigh.
"Yes, he followed me. Its name is Momo!"
"Momo?" Jun raised his eyebrow.
"Yes. He has the same puppy eyes than you."
"Oi! I don't look like a chipmunk!" Jun protested.
"No. Sho-chan does." Ohno teased.
"Hey! I don't."
"Sorry my love but with you fluffy cheeks and your teeth, you do." Aiba smirked, making everybody laugh.
"Mouuu..." Sho pouted.
"We will reach the healing valley soon." Sho stated.
"What is it?" Ohno raised his head to look at his lover with questioning eyes.
"It's a place where we will be in security. There are many legends saying this valley is magic because of Shadow." Jun smiled.
"Eh?"
"It says Shadow lived there for some years when he wasn't looking for his brother's assassin. This valley is pure for someone without bad intentions but if you have, you will meet the evil in person."
"Scaring." Ohno whispered.
"Don't worry. I'll protect you. And before reaching it, we have to confront the desert of the spiders." Jun kissed his lover's neck.
"Spiders?!" Ohno gasped.
"Well, we will have to hurry not to be eaten." Jun chuckled nervously.
"Wait wait, eaten?!" Sho gasped. "I thought spiders only bit!"
"Not the spiders of this desert. They are as big as dogs and love meat." Aiba mumbled.
"I won't cross this desert!" Sho exclaimed.
"We don't have the choice." Jun replied.
"There are many spiders in this desert?" Nino asked.
"It depends. They hate the warmth but if we are too slow, they will get out of their holes and will attack us. And if one of them bites you...you die in the next 12 hours."
"Sympatic." Nino said sarcastically.
"It's not as worse as the whispering forest." Aiba groaned.
"Sugoi, now, we know we have 98% chances of dying before reaching Arashi." Nino snapped.
"Arashi is Shadow's property, it's where he left his brother. It's a sacred place!" Jun replied coldly.
"I'll protect my Sho-chan!" Aiba exclaimed happily.
"Baby, you're so cute!" Sho smiled.
"We will stop here for the night and will enter the desert tomorrow morning." Jun stated, stopping his black horse before getting down and opening his arms to welcome Ohno.
"Yatta! I was tired riding since hours." Sho sighed in relief.
"Nino, control the woods. Masaki, you know where to find the berries. Sho, do what you want." Jun ordered.
"He will come with me." Aiba smiled, taking his lover's hand.
Aiba and Sho walked in silence, the younger looking at the dark sky, lost in his thoughts.
"Ma-chan, what's wrong?"

Satoshi isn't as strong as your brother but when we'll reach Arashi, he will have his full powers back! We are here, Masa, stop taking all the weight on your shoulder, trust us!" Sho exclaimed.
"You don't know the whole prophecy, Sho."
"Then, tell me!"

"Ma-chan, please, tell me. I want to protect you." Sho implored. Aiba just smiled sadly and climbed on his lover to kiss him. One of his hands traveled in the older's hair while the other was slipping in his yukata to touch the soft skin. "Masa... Don't try to avoid my question." Sho protested.
"Make love to me." Aiba whispered between his kisses. The older moaned and finally gave up, taking off their yukatas and laying his lover on the ground. Aiba smiled, raising one of his legs and kissing Sho with despair.
"I have to prepare you." Sho moaned.
"No. Take me already." Aiba groaned. The older chuckled and slowly pulled inside him, making his boyfriend whine in pain.
"Sorry." Sho put his forehead against Aiba's, panting.
"It always feels good when it's Sho-chan." Aiba smiled.
"Baby..." Sho moaned, starting to thrust roughly, the younger gasping and scratching his shoulder, his nails leaving bright red marks. Sho took his lover's dripping cock to pump it quickly.

They joined the camp where their friends were already asleep, Sho and Aiba in each other's arms and Nino not far from them. Ohno looked at Nino with sadness. He knew he loved Jun, so, why does his heart was aching anytime he was seeing his best friend?
"I have an idea." Jun whispered in his ear. The young man shook Nino who groaned and opened his eyes slowly.
"What?"
"Toshi also needs you." Jun smiled. The young guard looked at his friend before nodding and spreading the big sheet on the ground.
"Satoshi, come here." Nino called. Ohno frowned but obeyed and soon, a big smile spread his lips when Jun and Nino laid next to him on each side and put one of their arms around him.
It looked selfish but now, he felt complete.

"Don't worry. I'll protect you. And before reaching it, we have to confront the desert of the spiders." Jun kissed his lover's neck.
"Spiders?!" Ohno gasped.
"Well, we will have to hurry not to be eaten." Jun chuckled nervously.
"Wait wait, eaten?!" Sho gasped. "I thought spiders only bit!"
"Not the spiders of this desert. They are as big as dogs and love meat." Aiba mumbled.
"I won't cross this desert!" Sho exclaimed.
"We don't have the choice." Jun replied.
"There are many spiders in this desert?" Nino asked.
"It depends. They hate the warmth but if we are too slow, they will get out of their holes and will attack us. And if one of them bites you...you die in the next 12 hours."
"Sympatic." Nino said sarcastically.
"It's not as worse as the whispering forest." Aiba groaned.
"Sugoi, now, we know we have 98% chances of dying before reaching Arashi." Nino snapped.
"Arashi is Shadow's property, it's where he left his brother. It's a sacred place!" Jun replied coldly.
"I'll protect my Sho-chan!" Aiba exclaimed happily.
"Baby, you're so cute!" Sho smiled.
"We will stop here for the night and will enter the desert tomorrow morning." Jun stated, stopping his black horse before getting down and opening his arms to welcome Ohno.
"Yatta! I was tired riding since hours." Sho sighed in relief.
"Nino, control the woods. Masaki, you know where to find the berries. Sho, do what you want." Jun ordered.
"He will come with me." Aiba smiled, taking his lover's hand.
Aiba and Sho walked in silence, the younger looking at the dark sky, lost in his thoughts.
"Ma-chan, what's wrong?"
"Sho, do you love me?"
"You're asking me that after all these years?" Sho chuckled. "Yes, I do. More than my own life."
"I feel the same." Aiba said sadly, sitting on the grass.
"Masaki, what's wrong?"
"I... I want you to promise me something."
"Everything you want." Sho smiled.
"Promise me you'll find someone who will love you as much as I do."
"Eh? What are you talking about?!"
"Soon, we will face Shadow. Soon, we will have to fight against Jin. We will have to make choices. Hard choices, unfair choices but it's what is written. Our fates are already written and I've accepted mine."
"You're scaring me, Masaki. What do you mean?"
"Swear you will protect Jun and Satoshi."

"I have the feeling I'll have to leave soon." Aiba whispered and Sho understood what he lover meant being the word 'leaving'.
"Don't ever say that again!" Sho snapped.

"I don't want to hear such a thing from you ever again! Stop believing you are the only one here to protect Jun! I am here, Nino is here and even Ohchan! Satoshi isn't as strong as your brother but when we'll reach Arashi, he will have his full powers back! We are here, Masa, stop taking all the weight on your shoulder, trust us!" Sho exclaimed.
"You don't know the whole prophecy, Sho."
"Then, tell me!"
"I haven't the right."
"You haven't the right or you don't want?!"

"Ma-chan, please, tell me. I want to protect you." Sho implored. Aiba just smiled sadly and climbed on his lover to kiss him. One of his hands traveled in the older's hair while the other was slipping in his yukata to touch the soft skin. "Masa... Don't try to avoid my question." Sho protested.
"Make love to me." Aiba whispered between his kisses. The older moaned and finally gave up, taking off their yukatas and laying his lover on the ground. Aiba smiled, raising one of his legs and kissing Sho with despair.
"I have to prepare you." Sho moaned.
"No. Take me already." Aiba groaned. The older chuckled and slowly pulled inside him, making his boyfriend whine in pain.
"Sorry." Sho put his forehead against Aiba's, panting.
"It always feels good when it's Sho-chan." Aiba smiled.
"Baby..." Sho moaned, starting to thrust roughly, the younger gasping and scratching his shoulder, his nails leaving bright red marks. Sho took his lover's dripping cock to pump it quickly.
"Sho!!" Aiba screamed, releasing in the older's hand. After some thrusts, Sho came with a groan.
"I love you so much." Sho whispered.

"We can change that." Aiba smirked, turning around to catch his lover's lips.

"What will happen when we'll reach Arashi?" Ohno asked as they were sitting in front of the river.
"We'll meet Shadow." Jun whispered.
"But he is dead."
"His body, not his soul."
"And then?"
"He will explain you everything."
"Will explain what?" Ohno looked at Jun curiously.
"There are so many things that you don't know." Jun stroked Ohno's cheek tenderly.
"Tell me, then."
"I can't. I'm not in the right to reveal you these secrets. I'm so scared of losing you."
"Why would you?" Ohno chuckled.
"Because you will hate me when Shadow will reveal you everything."
"I can't hate you. Have you forgotten? We are bonded. Nothing can separate us." Ohno smiled.
"I wish you were right." Jun sighed.
"Jun..." Ohno cupped Jun's face with a soft smile.
"Hun?"
"Believe in me." The young prince whispered before kissing his lover with passion.
"Satoshi, I..." Jun pressed their bodies together, letting the older take off his own yukata.
"I want you." Satoshi moaned. Jun stared at the beautiful naked body in front of him, licking his lips, his eyes shining with desire.
"No." Jun managed to say despite his will to fuck his lover.
"What?!"
"I also want you but I won't take you before Shadow tells you the truth. When you'll know everything, I'll make love to you if you still accept me." Ohno pouted, not enjoying this program.
"But we could try other things." A lusty smile appeared on Ohno's lips and the prince climbed on his lover's lap to undulate his hips, making Jun gasp.
"You are cheating!"
"Tell me you don't want me and I'll stop immediately." Jun stared at his boyfriend, ready to refuse but no sound left his throat. "Like I thought." Ohno chuckled and stroked their members together, allowing Jun to grab his butt for a better friction.
"I love you." Jun managed to say when they weren't kissing with despair.
"I love you too." Ohno buried his face in his lover's neck as they were coming in loud moans.
"Stay with me." Jun whispered when they collapsed on the ground.
"We have to join the camp before." Ohno chuckled, standing up.
They joined the camp where their friends were already asleep, Sho and Aiba in each other's arms and Nino not far from them. Ohno looked at Nino with sadness. He knew he loved Jun, so, why does his heart was aching anytime he was seeing his best friend?
"I have an idea." Jun whispered in his ear. The young man shook Nino who groaned and opened his eyes slowly.
"What?"
"Toshi also needs you." Jun smiled. The young guard looked at his friend before nodding and spreading the big sheet on the ground.
"Satoshi, come here." Nino called. Ohno frowned but obeyed and soon, a big smile spread his lips when Jun and Nino laid next to him on each side and put one of their arms around him.
It looked selfish but now, he felt complete.
