I'm glad Cameron was able to admit she should have won at least.
The audience's applause when her name was mentioned told us enough.
And Jason Reitman even acknowledged Quentin in his speech. And that guy is usually such a douchebag. I guess now they can just team up in their mutual disgust of James Cameron though.
All of the attention it's starting to get is really starting to make me like it less.
Exactly. I gave Avatar a solid enough rating upon first viewing but it's hard not to dislike something when it gets overrated like this.
I didn't agree with RDJ's win either but his speech was good. I knew they weren't going to award Stuhlbarg when A Serious Man didn't get nominated for Best Picture though. I was rooting for JGL or Matt Damon.
Really? I don't really know that much about Jason Reitman, but he seemed like a decent guy from what I saw at the Critic's Choice Movie Awards and tonight.
I wasn't expecting Stuhlberg to win either, but I thought his chances would have been better than RDJ's at least. lol
Also, I noticed, only person who didn't seem completely pissed off about Avatar winning Best Picture/Director was Lee Daniels. The guy who knew his movie didn't really stand a chance so he probably practiced his fake happy applause face.
Everyone else looked like they were reading to puke.
I didn't like Sandra's dress at first, but after seeing them in some pictures I liked it a little more. I think just the colors bugged me. lol The Glee cast was stunning though. <3
I'm hoping the same thing happens to the Best Actress category that happened with the Best Actor category last year. They thought Rourke would win (so did I and I wanted him to), but Penn won the Bafta and then won the Oscar...hopefully the same goes for Carey Mulligan. I haven't seen "The Blind Side" so I don't want to judge her performance just yet, but I can't see Bullock as being a serious actress like the others.
I can't imagine Bullock winning a BAFTA, like, at all. LOL Mulligan better win that at least, and hopefully she'll pull off a shocker at the Oscars. I just want all of these people that think she's out of the race to eat their words. lmao The Blind Side wasn't bad and Bullock definitely did give the best performance of her career, but she's still nowhere near Meryl's or Mulligan's level imo.

A Serious Man got totally shafted with the Globes, that's for sure. I mean, look at those Comedy/Musical nominees!
