Biggest - and actually only - highlight of the ceremony for me...

THE MOST AWESOME AND ADORABLE GUY EVER RIGHT THERE.

So happy he got like every single award this year. He deserved it so much. (:

His speech was terrific - "Oscar and Penelope, that's an uber bingo!"

Ahhhh love him....

It seemed like a strange time to make a tribute to horror movies... When most horror movies today are remakes/sequels and many of the films honored weren't exactly recent. And I agree, it surprised me to see Twilight included in that segment -- I think I even shouted "What!? Was that just Twilight!?" and scared my roommate.

Very happy for Kathryn Bigelow.

Well, Twilight is horrifying...

LOL, I know right? I thought I heard it wrong when they said they were gonna show a horror film tribute next. It was nice seeing some of the best horror films in it though, even if it reminded me of the horrid horror films we have today. (:

Also? What was up with Tom Hanks? He literally just got up and announced The Hurt Locker as best picture winner. Isn't there supposed to be a good half hour of ass kissing first?

I think it was because the show lasted way longer than it was supposed to, so they wanted to rush it a little. I was glad he announced it so fast though. It was bad enough waiting just to hear who was gonna win best director. lol

Yeah, I was wondering why it was so abrupt. Suddenly it was just announced that Hurt Locker won best Director and Best Picture, and then it was over! A little strange.

As usual, Mo'nique and Christoph Waltz gave the best acceptance speeches.
