Thought I'd put in a quick post about Hobart before anyone else does. What a buzz! I flew in on Thursday on the direct flight (yay for Virgin), lovely Penny picked me up, and spent the afternoon exploring Battery Point, Salamanca Place and Constitution Dock with Anneke (from QUMS). Had some oysters at Mures for sustenance. Went to the ( Read more... )

Hey Matt! It's wonderful to hear (see?) an update from you! I'm so happy to hear you had a great weekend :o)

I had the St Kilda Hash from Big Mouth on Sunday and thought of you :-P

You feel entirely refreshed?! I feel entirely buggered. Oh that's right, I was amongst those with the non-sensible bedtimes and the massive hangovers.

But I also had a completely excellent time!

One moment I particularly liked involved the statement, "Adie? I'm drunk."

So. Much. Fun. Can't wait to go back & explore Tassie some more. Maybe involving some more whisky & glühwein! :)
Ooo, and I wanted to tell you that I tried Oysters Kilpatrick when Wilky & I had dinner at Shippy's (where Penny works) on Monday night. Delicious, but oh so rich; I'm glad I only ordered 6! Wocestershire sauce may be a little strong for me!

haha! I actually used to hate everything from the water, and only discovered the pleasure of oysters recently, so making up for lost time.. I started with Kilpatrick, but after trying them natural, I'll never go back - you should try them natural sometime!

BTW I don't remember "Adie, I'm drunk" ( ... should I?)

I'm not a total convert with natural ones yet, but I certainly wasn't averse to them after trying them at Mures!

Possibly not, though Margie might!
