RAMMED EARTH, WHAT PART? are you lieing. Im sure there are buildings that would last a thosand years in canada.Europe has the roman Aquaducts, we have Pump stations!. those things are built like brick shit houses. And what about, brick shit houses.
I'm with you. I also want to do the same thing. It chokes me up to see building go up in a summer- built to last 15-25 years. Crap. I think I would like to involve many people: masons, carpenters etc.. and make it a lifetime project. Loads of research needs to be done. I'm not sure rammed earth would last a thousand years- what about stone?
Well, I'm not an engineer. One of the things about rammed earth is that it could supposedly last 1000+ years, and it doesn't require levelling a mountain to get the materials. Obviously there is excavation/extraction required, but it's not quite as devastating as a quarry from what I understand.
