I think they're going to get spit-roasted on the interwebs and if they have the party anyhow lots of people will show up and hook up. ::shrug:: Nothing to be done about it.

In other news, we had a livingroom full of eensy baby homos and trannies today and one of them cracked open Body Alchemy to the photo of you, all fresh and babyfaced. It was kind of great.

You're not getting older, you're getting hotter AND older.

I'd be interested in talking to them.

What does an "event" entail? Sex parties have been tried and failed, bar nights with outside promotors happen all the time (not necessarily this specific an audience but then the size of the bar is important not to be too big).

There is already a bar named Truck, and another named Buck, so variations of that won't work. Bar on Church (formerly the Transfer) has Wednesday event that raises money for trans projects (Dimensions Petty Cash fund was the first week).

There is a new photo mag coming out, locally produced, Original Plumbing, produced by Amos Mac with assistance by Tuck. Good tie in with them (in addition to Trannywood of course).

We are doing monthly workshops with Trans Thrive within this particular community and are also trying to build some sense of community.

I mentioned Original Plumbing to them. He seemed to think on first glance at what's on FaceBook that it looked like a good match.

It's not intending to be a sex party, just a club/bar type thing.

Maybe you can provide some trannywood footage for them to show if the venue can handle it?

I'm a little out of the loop on this sort of thing. I'm not sure what's PC and what isn't when it comes to trans anything.

I've never been fond of taco terminology, but that's probably because it's so often accompanied by the word "fish" among gay men, and it's always struck me as the most misogynistic term out there.

So MenFisher's Wharf wouldn't work for you.
Just trying to think of what might work (that wouldn't be overdone [the girl still has a fag's sense of production value :o]).

I gotta agree - the lines around PC get really fuzzy in this arena. Do let us know how the event planning goes. I'm in Seattle, so not any help there -- and while I've been an event planner, I'm not sure my experience translates much in this arena. the best I did was a campus wide cross-dressing party when I was in college - it was fun. Had a DJ and drinks - but it was LBGTQQ so it ran the whole spectrum of sexualities.
