Stem cell research.

What I find particularly disturbing is that the same right wing Christian fundamentalist neocon nutjobs who are stalling potentially lifesaving stem cell research will be lining up in droves for cures when they get developed elsewhere and imported into the US. There are so many possibilities for stem cells. It fustrates me how some people want to stop the research. There are ways that I believe ethical to get stem cells, those that are against it are narrow minded.
On the bright side, it give Canada an opprotunity to be on top of stem cell research :)

That is true. Bush happens to be a part of a minority of only about 30% who want it banned. I suppose the other Christians know people with the illness and are in favour of stem cell research. It's called "selective Christianity" - although pretty well every Christian I've met has been selective about it in some manner. The bible itself says dozens of things which directly contradict itself though so it would be impossible to follow it exactly.

After Bush and the other christian fundamentalists kicked the world renowned stem cell researches out of the USA, they all flocked to the Catholic University of Leuven which is now the leading stem cell research center in the world.

Please don't associate the nutjobs with the religion.
