TV Guide asked presidential candidates about their favorite TV showsBarack Obama's all-time favorite is The Wire (alongside M*A*S*H), which I find impressive. Now that I think of it, it's the only show that would impress me to hear a candidate talk about. I think that should be required watching for anyone in public office

In a somewhat related note, I grew up with Brandon Young, who is playing Mike Fletcher on The Wire this season. His family lived around the corner from me and we used to act together in summerstock when we were in middle school. Apparently, he's come a long way from playing the anvil salesman in our 1996 production of "The Music Man"! He's a nice guy, so I'm happy he finally got his big break.

I've never seen the show, but I hear such good things about it, I'm going to try to catch up via Netflix sometime soon.
