Here from karenhealey's plug. This was fantastic! I liked the fact that you worked in parallels to other Bible stories, instead of purely reimagining the Jesus birth story.
Thank you! The initial idea was as ridiculous as could be - giant turkeys and delicious glazed ham warriors attacking a village and being roasted then eaten. That didn't change but somehow the story developed unexpected depths as I was writing it :-)
