In the past couple of days, the Braves have announced that they have picked up John Smoltz's 2007 option and have signed Bob Wickman to be the closer in 2007. Anyone who's a Braves fan knows how important Smoltz is that the team. Long time, no write
Yeah, yeah, it's been a while. I've been having computer issues. It's mostly sorted out right now, but it's not worth going into.
I'm still playing D&D Minis and I'm doing pretty well. Won our last tournament with 12 players by going 4-0. Picked up the Complete Psionic D&D 3.5 rulebook for 1st prize. Sweet! We've got a 500-point epic ( Read more... ) -

I spent yesterday afternoon playing D&D Miniatures at the local gaming store...
It's no wonder that I'm feeling a bit younger today than I should have a right to considering I've got yet another birthday about to slam into me at the end of the week.

Punny Software Title
One of the things in which I'm starting to dabble is the "Python" language. Python is named after Monty Python and not the snake. However, that does not prevent most people from coming up with various plays on the snake theme to name their products. I've recently found an IDE (Integrated Development Environment) who's name takes 1st prize:

Makes sense to me
I heard a really good line from a military high-muckity-muck on NPR this morning:
"The first rule, if you're trying to get out of a hole, is to stop digging"
He was arguing for a quick pullout of troops from Iraq, but that line is so simple yet can apply to so many different things I just had to share.
