Still unpacking and setting up the new house. The dining room table showed up on Thursday but there was a complete comedy of errors including the taller legs not fitting, a leaf getting dropped and splitting and one of the accessories being wrong. It's all getting sorted out, but for the moment we only kind of have a table

When I first got my sidecar license I looked pretty hard at Urals. They're pretty cool bikes, but I really do like the old 50's/60's BMWs more and the price difference isn't big enough to change my mind. I picked up my R50, rebuilt the engine, and got this sidecar for about what a Ural would cost new. Of course it took a while and I got pretty lucky in the end ;)

The Ural Patrol is certainly a capable bike though, that two-wheel drive has got to be fun. The guy I bought the R50 from has a Gear-Up and is quite happy with it.

That's awesome. So you have two sidecar rigs now?

Yep! One that works and one that needs a whole lot of love. It'll get it at some point, just not as quickly now that I have a rolling hack.
