Been pretty good actually. Saw Hot Fuzz on Tuesday in the cinema, and was an excellent film! Certainly the best new film I've seen in a while at least, the whole absurdity of it all is what makes it: the gun battle in a village pub and another in a small branch of Somerfield's being especial highlights!

...Has been pretty uneventful so far if I'm honest! Just heard back from my GCHQ job application, and I only made it onto their reserve list. I'm not surprised, it didn't really seem to go that well - looks like it's not going to happen for me, but it's better to be on a reserve list than to be turned down flat I guess ( Read more... )

Forgot to say in my last couple of entries - I finally achieved my goal of getting round to seeing a lunar eclipse! Despite being out in town last night I still found the time to look out on it. And it was pretty spectacular, there wasn't any cloud around at all, which for South-West UK in March is quite something! So that's another goal marked off ( Read more... )

Well, now I've had chance to sober up a bit thought I'd post again. It wasn't a bad night out, just wasn't great either and was a bit annoyed with all that with Jodie but it doesn't matter really. Although town was busy we didn't really see that many people, though saw a couple of old school friends in the Cabot which was good.

Well, bit of a mixed up day really. Got up pretty early, as I'd lost my phone in Dave's car. So spoke to him on msn, then we met up for a go on the golf driving range. I then proved that it is possible to be injured in a round of golf - a pretty nightmarish shot meant I took a good piece of skin of my finger, and was a bit painful then to continue ( Read more... )

Well, watched the film Doom round Dave's, as was to be expected really - lots of violence, a genetic mutation plot to be laughed at having studied genetics myself.

Well I had a reasonably good couple of days down in Fareham that went without hitch, and actually made the interview which is the main thing!

The train down to Fareham was actually quite nice - the trains actually ran on time for a change, and the 40 minute wait between trains at Bristol allowed me to grab a cup of tea while having a read through ( Read more... )
