I'm buying a new smartphone, after years of having one provided for me. I'm an app power user, so I've ruled out the Torch. There are apps, but not the kind and number that I want. At least, not for public use

I have a Droid X. I use it as a phone, navigation tool, camera, information source for work. I only have free apps but they do everything I need them to do. When I was on the road for extended runs and didn't have a proper computer with me it allowed me to keep up with my family and my network contacts. I like it, would buy again, would recommend to friends.
I just got an Android (the Motorola one from Wind), and while I'm not too happy with Wind's customer service, the phone itself is pretty great.
I haven't figured out the various cool things that you can do on it that you can't do on an iPhone, to be honest. I went with it because it could do the cool things that an iPhone could do but wasn't tied to a three-year plan.
