Has anyone tried the new honey latte from Starbucks? I like honey, I love coffee, and I like lattes. Yet. Something about this drink seems wrong.

Is Torchwood still awful in the second season? Ugh, I need to accept that it is and move on.

honey is good. coffee is good. i would rather not think of honey and coffee together. had it been a honey chai latte, on the other hand...

It's too "nutty". It's too much nuts and not enough honey! I liked it at first but then hated it shortly after.

I read a rumor that honey-flavored syrup is used in the drink with only real honey on top? Is this true?!

Yeah, syrup all the way! It's just "honey" syrup (which is way too nutty!), espresso, milk, and then topped with whipped cream and allegedly real honey. I actually haven't looked at the bottle, but I'm pretty sure it's real?

It's better than the sugar-free mocha they came out with in January. Ugh. Tastes like liquid tootsie rolls. Which is worse than it sounds!

The (new) skinny latte debacle? My brother recently phased himself from the schedule at one place, but was giving me all the inside scoop, like the hatred of those hot breakfast sandwiches or the calorie count on those holiday penguin cookies.

Nope. Stick with the hazelnut hot chocolate instead. Although I only go to Starbucks about three times a year... almost £4 for a hot drink, not cool, and they don't even have a loyalty card and the staff are far nicer in the Caffe Neros anyway. Yeh.

And yes, still awful.

Hazelnut hot chocolate is not an option in the states! Boo! Is it like drinking Nutella? OMG I want to do that now.

You're kidding! Wow so much for being THE LAND OF PROMISE. Yeah, it is sort of like drinking Nutella. It's pretty amazing. I am even pondering buying some of their hazelnut syrup (a bottle of that is probably as cheap as a large hazelnut hot chocolate - and yes, I *do* stubbornly refuse to call it a 'venti' or whatever).

No, it's still THE LAND OF PROMISE, just without mass hazelnut consumption. The country is still getting used to vanilla, and even that is banned in some more sanctified areas.

I can never ask for a "shot" of flavored syrup in a drink. That's too fancy for me.

Yes, still awful - but it's moved from annoyingly awful to endearingly awful (quite intentionally), and I find myself watching every week now (while I gave up on the first series fairly quickly).

I gave up on Twood after the second or third episode this time. I really wanted to stick around for Martha's sake, but I couldn't allow myself to watch her get dragged down into the morass. I've decided I hate the show and that John Barrowman is such a bad 'actor' that it's not even accurate to call him that.

Twood!
Perhaps John Barrowman is an acTOR. This is why one should keep your guard up around musical theater geeks!

Shouldn't the new Who start soon? That's something.

I think your questions are clearly related. "Torchwood": things you like, put together into something that never gets better the more you drink it.

I don't know, did you like "Angel"? I find them sort of similar, and also think that show was awful, though some seemed to think the campy was kooky.

(Also "Torchwood" just pressed my 100% least favorite sci-fi unacceptable story I hate most, Accidental Alien Pregnancy of Lady Character. UGHHHH. Related to my above point, didn't that happen to Cordelia like eight times?)

It is related! I did not make the connection!
Angel, well, I stuck out the first season and gave up in the second. I started watching again at the end of four and watched all of five. The show was only good when it began killing everyone at the end. (So maybe I cried when Fred died. And Cordelia. And Wesley.)
