vast ammounts of nothingness... pressure to conform, get a normal job and lifestyle continues to build. have expressed my fears of a normal existence to parents this evening; have told them "i'm working on it, though." spent the day reading books, making compilation cd's for friends, imagining mountain clibing ( Read more... )

Even if you get a job with a work DAY and regularly scheduled hours, your job doesn't define you. You tend to see work as a means to an end. A regular job won't make you "normal", not that you're abnormal. What would change is your level of commitment. To hold a job like that, you have to be committed to stay in a place versus what you do now. You work and save money until the travel bug hits you. You have a hard time staying in one place!
